Trying to purchase the Stardock special, I purchased two gifts and then when I went to purchase for myself the credit card I used for the gift purchases is now getting the incredibly explanatory error, something went wrong.

So I figured the card was blocking the charge because it is seeing a possible triple charge, so I use another card and I get the same error.

I was hoping to get a great Galciv game going tonight with my friends but I can't due to GoG not transacting my payment.

I had the same problem a couple days ago, emailed support and I got a copy+paste standard reply that my bank is supposedly declining the transaction but that wasn't the case, I had already called the credit card company and there was nothing wrong with the card. They didn't receive any data from GOG to begin with so the error must have been on the GOG store side of things. A couple days later it suddenly worked again, then a couple days after that it stopped working again. Then is worked again... (it's like a Russian space station or something)

You could try using your card via PayPal. Maybe a different means of payment solves the issue. However, it could also be GOG itself. There's a maximum of how often you can buy a game per day. It was never published how often, nor if it is the same amount for every game. If I remember right, I hit it once by buying 5 copies as gifts around Xmas. In that case, you'd have to use a different account to buy a gift code or wait for 24h.

I am pretty sure GOG has a limit of five games bought as gifts per day using a credit card (to prevent people buying cartloads with stolen credit cards). Either wait 24 hours or use Paypal.

Yes thank you, opening a support ticket was the first thing I did after both cards were declined. See here is the problem, the second card should not have been declined as it did not have a chain of charges from the same vendor - GoG in over a week plus so it should go through. Additionally when the bank sees Zero attempts from GoG that is a larger problem because at that point I am running out of options on my end.

The clock is ticking on this sale and I would like to be able to purchase for myself after the two gift purchases.

*Update*

After trying Paypals one time payment, the charge did go through, it looks like for one card it would not transact at all as the bank showed no actions from GoG. The other card I assume when it hit the third transaction, it auto flagged as it assumes it is a charge error or fraud flagging for three charges in a row.
