If you are having difficulties with downloading I suggest you use a proper download manager. I use the latest nightly build of DownThemAll for Firefox and I usually download from GOG with around 12-17 MB/s, the latter being the full capacity of my 150 mbit line.

Ban all clients! Point 1, download via browser, nothing to do with Downloader or other software.

blotunga: Ah. For some reason misread about using the downloader. Downloading via browser is crappy++. The download speed at least for me are about 10 times slower than using the downloader for example.
Try using the DownThemAll! download manager add-on (for Firefox, not sure about other browsers). It basically does everything the downloader does and much more.

I never had the problem you mention, though, and have easily reached 10+ megabytes-per-second download speeds, with and without the download manager.

Thanks, I'll try. I've even tried downloading using wget, but still it was too slow. Probably because wget doesn't supports more than 1 connection.
