Just something I've been wondering: What more RPG-ish Metroidvanias are there here?

To clarify:
* Hard requirement: Game should be a 2D platformer. (I don't count 3D games or overhead view games as Metroidvanias.)
* Mechanics that make the game more RPG-ish include things like attributes like strength (and a stat screen that shows them), numerically displayed HP, equipment systems, growth systems (levels gained through XP being common), towns with features like shops (and perhaps inns), crafting systems, and other mechanics that you might expect to see in a typical RPG. The game should have at least some of these features
* For a specific example, I'm looking for something like Bloodstained, not something like Hollow Knight.
Dark Devotion

Foregone to an extent. The main difference being that the game is split into levels instead of one massive map of rectangles.

Both have "base" areas that you regularly return to.
GRIME, maybe?
Dust

I played it a long while ago, but I believe it has all things you mentioned. There's a village, merchants, side quests, basic leveling up system with a few stats, equipment, upgrades, crafting...

Death's Gambit Afterlife

You have stats, a central hub area with merchants, crafting, you can pick a class and get a second class you can switch later on, levels etc

It just feels very much like an RPG.
Besides the aforementioned Dust: An Elysian Tail, I also recommend Valdis Story: Abyssal City and Chasm

Also worth checking out Dex, Phoenotopia and Momodora IV:

Chasm
Timespinner, though it tends to lean more on Symphony than Metroid.

Played that. It's good (and I love that there's a giant Castlevania 2 reference right in the middle), though the cutscenes, which are only partially skipable, can sometimes be annoying.

Worth noting that the game is separated into levels, though you can return to previous levels, and there are a few new movement abilities that show up later. Noticed I have Dex in my library (maybe it was a freebie at some point?), but not it's demo, so I fixed that.

That is the sort of tame I'm looking for it, except that I've already played it.

On the plus side, I really like the two parallel maps approach (being connected through time travel) and the queer sidequests.

On the minus side, however, there's a severe balance issue; your defense rises too quickly as you gain levels. As a result, if you do any sort of sidequesting or even just get lost, it's easy to accidentally overlevel, at which point enemies struggle to do any damage to you and the game becomes too easy. (Nightmare mode with level cap 1 might fix this issue, but then the early game becomes way too hard.)

I can recommend Sundered.
Undungeon

Correction: It is Unepic, obviously, very but very "dungeony" and RPGish

Alwa's Awakening was a giveaway some time ago, did you grab it? I think it qualifies as a Metroidvania.
