About 66 hours in and having a blast. To compare, GTA V took me about 55 hours to complete and I noticed serious fatigue for about the last 15-ish hours and took longer breaks between sessions to "recharge". None of that for Cyberpunk so far. The 66 hours flew by like nothing and I have hardly even begun the main missions in Act 2.
But I'm also lucky enough not to have any gamebreaking bugs so far and very little in the way of glitches. What glitches I had were inconsequential and for me not detrimental to the experience. Occasional floating items, one NPC that t-posed literally for a split-second at the far end of a restaurant I had just entered before it started the sit-down animation, once my character got stuck in a repeating "pick-up body" animation which was fixed by a quickload and cost me all of 10 seconds of progress, and 4 CTDs which other games (e.g. Rise of the Tomb Raider, Deus Ex Mankind Divided) managed to beat significantly in less playtime. And once after quickload my character got placed inside the driver on the driver's seat instead of the passenger seat, which fixed itself as soon as I stepped out of the car.
Performance-wise it's also surprisingly and consistently smooth even at high to ultra settings on my i5 6600K, RX590 and 16 GB RAM. It's not competitive-shooter-60+-frames smooth but perfectly serviceable at 35-45-ish fps. For a next gen game on a (mostly) 5 year-old piece of hardware that is no small feat. Obviously no raytracing on my rig but man is that game beautiful regardless.
Is it a perfect game? No. Personally I would have preferred if they had ditched the loot shooter mechanic for a few dedicated and rarer weapon models with a more in-depth upgrade/mod system (I don't want to drown in 10 different but same weapons after every encounter. Make me work for that one sweet rifle that I will then love and cherish and upgrade for maybe the rest of the game). The police/wanted system is annoying on occasion and mostly pointless for the rest of the time. The driving is very janky until you get the hang of it (and better rides) but eventually gets quite rewarding when you find yourself somewhat reliably executing perfect high speed handbrake turns around sharp corners on Jackie's bike.
But I didn't expect a perfect game, I expected an engaging game. And boy, am I engaged! I love all the stories even in the little side gigs. I really enjoy the core gameplay loop of (for my play style) sneaking, hacking and cover-based combat. I love the graphics, the design, the characters...
But always keep in mind that as I said I have very little technical issues. Friends of mine got the last gen console version and both have set it aside to wait for their PS5s, because...well...PS4 is a clusterfuck. So if the negative points above are an issue for you, maybe think twice before buying CP2077. If you enjoy stories and can find yourself in my play style...still think twice because the technical issues ARE real for some people and if you happen to be one of them, that sucks. But in the latter case don't dismiss it, just wait for the next couple of patches or a GOTY version or whatever. This might still be the game for you. Just maybe not right now.
