This game was a huge letdown for me, and I honestly haven't seen it through to the end because it's taken away what made the first reboot so good. It's still very pretty and the guns are satisfying to use, but the swordplay, powers, humor, story all pale in comparison to the original.
The SW reboot was a perfectlyy paced, focussed, viscerally playing, linear, story driven game with entertaining characters, particularly great was the banter between Wang and the tag-a-long demon Hoji. This game dispenses with all that and often just devolves into feeling like a mindless arena shooter. With everything randomly generated from tiles there's no real feeling of progression through a world.
This game also dumbed down the interface for ki powers, changing the inputs to something more console friendly, where as the method of imputting abilities in the first game involved sequence taps of the WASD that felt properly designed for PC and were fast, tactile and so much more satisfying.
