Ohmy, you've shown me the light! How could I have been so stupid?! Ummm, no. Realize that I do understand, and that I hold a different point of view and was sharing it and try to see it from my perspective. I've seen it from the other perspective, but I think it's a cop-out to not be fully responsible for one's own actions.

It's certainly a good thing to be responsible, just be aware that people with addictions aren't necessarily "weak and lazy" just because they're struggling. It's a serious psychological/biological issue that doesn't just disappear overnight.

My gradmother was a HARDCORE smoker for 50+ years, had a health issue one day, went to the doctor, he told her if she kept smoking she was going to die soon. She stopped cold turkey and never had another and 25 years later is still alive.

I think people are just lazy and weak and don't want to take responsibility for their own actions and choices.

Oh and if you blew smoke in my face I most certainly would vomit in yours.

People who smoke in houses or cars with children (or animals) should have those children (or animals) taken away from them. They shouldn't be permitted to have anything to do with the well-being of another living thing.

You just don't understand, zeogold -- it's just like when you tell someone "Hey! Don't get into an accident!" If they then, at some point, wind up getting into an accident, that means that they're stupid, inferior, defective human beings who deserve what they got. After all, if you don't want to get into an accident, you simply decide not to. Easy. Just like not being an addict!
