BoltThrower40000: Broforce is awesome but most indie games are horrible it just happens to be an exception. Some of the games I want to see on here barely get any votes despite being amazing games a lot of them just got over shadowed at the time so not many people got to play them, I hope to see them come out here but that just isnt realistic
And again, with all due respect, it's important to remember that your opinion on the poor quality of indie games on GOG doesn't necessarily mean that they actually are poor. It also doesn't mean that other people aren't enjoying them either. True, we have some games here that may be objectively of lesser quality (e.g. Pixel Piracy, on the basis of it being released in a deceptively incomplete state and abandoned), but we also have games like Spiderweb Software's many RPGs, which are infamous for their low production values, yet are widely popular on the strength of their writing and gameplay.
I am sorry if I have hit on a recurring discussion. I am just curious and a little confused, GOG is Good Old Games, and I was just noticing alot of newer indie games and some not so indie games recently. I love the games I have and ebjoy them tremendously. Strategy games have gone to RTS (real time shit). Like battlefleet gothic, what a terrible game, no strategy, and very repetitive. Well please accept my apologies for stirring up such a heated subject. Ty for the input.
I just want the rest of the ssi d&d games sooooo bad the heroes of the lance series. Also need conquest of the longbow and conquest of camelot for my sierra collection :(

BoltThrower40000: Pretend I am an fruit salesman and I start selling apples, the first year I sell 55 oranges and 45 apples. Next year my business picks up and I sell double the amount of fruit but its 75 oranges and 125 apples, yeah I did sell more oranges but most of my attention was selling apples.
Pretend I'm an orange farmer supplying you oranges. On the first year, I had to supply you 55 oranges, on the second year, I had to supply you 75 oranges. That means that I did increase my business with you, thus (no matter what else you did), I am happy.
Pretend I'm a rabid eater of oranges, looking to get as many as I can. On the first year, I could only get 55 oranges from you, and I had to satisfy my orange appetite from other vendors as well. On the second year, I could get more oranges from you, thus my looking for other vendors need was lower. Apples play no role in my orange need, whether you sold 1 apple or a million apples is not something I, as a rabid eater of oranges, care about.
Only reason one would care about how many apples you sell is if they care about apples. If they also like apples, then great, you are selling more apples, good for your business, and good for those that like apples. Only reason to hate the new direction you as a fruit seller are going towards is if I hate apples.

Yup, it stands for Grumpy Old Gamers now if the forum is anything to go by. =P

Edit: Haha. Didn't even know there was a gamer community with that name, even if that place looks half-dead. Comes with the territory, I guess. ;)

Not trying to be snarky, but here's their forum/news announcement from the March 27, 2012 launch of the "Bigger Fresher Newer" GOG revamp:

For the last four days we’ve been promising you the Bigger, Newer, and Fresher version of GOG, not only the website, but the service and the philosophy of game distribution as well. However, there’s much more to today’s GOG.com than just three words.

Bigger.
Year after year we’re getting bigger and so our service needs to adjust. Bigger means more users, and therefore more website features, more social interaction, more customer love. Bigger means AAA new and newer titles and more partners--and especially developers!--signed every month. Bigger means a mix of the classic titles that you’ve come to know and love from GOG.com and newer with the kind of great gameplay that makes them feel like instant classics...

Newer
Don’t worry, no matter how new we’re getting, GOG.com will always stick to our three core values: No DRM, Fair Pricing, and Love for our GOG-ers. Newer means simply newer games, whether they’re big, recognized names, indie games, day-one releases, or pre-orders. Pre-order for Legend of Grimrock for only $11.99 today, or pick up Trine and The Whispered World right now; Spacechem, Machinarium, and Darwinia are coming soon. We have more than 20 great indie and newer games signed on GOG.com that will be showing up in the next few months.. These games lead the way on our the transition from Good Old Games to simply GOG.com. It doesn’t matter what G, O, and G stand for, Gee Oh Gee dot com stands for high-quality, DRM-free gaming, each week with bigger and newer games.

It was already established in a thread posted 8 hours before you wrote that, by Snowkatt, that - No, it is not. Are you even reading the replies?

blakstar: So the "just" is silent then? :-P

thomq: No, it's not silent. It's implied.

Uhm, I'm not sure how to explain the distinction. Sorry. :-(

Any linguists out there? I fear a grammarian won't be enough for this… (but grammarians never are anyways…)
It's OK, I know the distinction. I was just being silly with regard to the pronunciation.

I certainly wasn't expecting a serious reply! :-)
