I already regret buying SOLUS PROJECT on GOG. Many people wont do this mistake again. We're waiting for very importand patch and GOG is slowing this down. Next time i'll buy steam, less problems.

Yup, that's one of the most common complains about GOG - and it sure is a very valid one. There are also several games on GOG which haven't been updates for months.

While some devs take it too easy when it comes to sending updates to GOG on time GOG has to change their patching process and give more control to the game devs.

In the other hand do you want a half-assed patch or something that was tested properly? I also don't understand some people's need to play a game as soon as it comes out... i prefer to wait until the thing is stable and preferably with all DLCs.
I understand.
Unfortunately this is an issue with GOG. Seems they're stuck in a 'two steps forward, one step back' mindset. I'll still buy here over Steam though.
all services have their pros and cons sadly.
GOG needs to speed things up a bit, but with DRM-free comes disadvantages like slow updating, unless there is away to allow DRM free and make Galaxy more standard...

Fuck.
Then there are people like me, who like backing up their stuff to a seperate hard drive or a flash drive.

There has to be a way allow timely updates and for saving installers.

hmmmm.

in the end GoG needs to speed up their processes somehow.

You don't buy from Steam, you rent.
As I understand it, GOG now offers devs the ability to patch their own games through Galaxy. Now to find the post from Judas....

That is only for in-dev games as far as I know and not for all games yet.

Faster patching is coming if you use Galaxy, but not every dev has access to this yet. Be patient.

It's a cyclical topic. A while ago they used to be even more common, but they died out around the time Gog managed to get Disney\Lucasarts on board.

The logical solution, of course, is to release more Lucasarts games.
The patching is slow and it sucks, that's obvious, and people have a right to be curious as well as somewhat upset about that, but that had nothing to do with the OP's post. He could have gotten his point across by simply stating the patching sucks and then leaving, but no, he has to start in with his 'I'm never shopping here again' and 'I'm going to steam' crap, topped off with "Many people wont do this mistake again." Really? What, is he the fucking Oracle? :P

It's totally unnecessary and tantamount to trolling.

No, no, the OP's not gonna buy *from* Steam, but Steam itself!

I bet I would have less problems too, if I were able to buy Steam...

Well if it's one of the DRM free games, wouldn't that technically be a purchase? :P
