Hello there,

I know it has been more than a year since the last post on this but I just bought this game and have been trying to download it. I have tried both the GOG Galaxy client and the Downloader. Galaxy is DLing at 0.2 MB/s and the Downloader at 117.2 KB/s. When I run speed test on my net speed I have 2.3 MB/s. I have turned off my anti virus and have restarted my computer and internet several times. Are there any other fixes I have missed?

Just to check.

What are you using to report your download speed.

speedtest.net gives results in megabits per second
while
Galaxy reports in megabytes per second.

If your internet is reporting at 2.3 megabits, then galaxies 0.2 megabytes isn't too far off.

It depends on when you download. On a busy day for GOG, when they have a big release, it is going to be slow, I suspect it is really going to be slow the day that Full Throlttle Reloaded becomes available.

Thank you all for the advice.

I have decieded to go back to the discs and try to resolve the space error instead of waiting forever for this download. This game better not disappoint.

Is anyone else still having download issues? Right now GOG is now downloading in the kilobyte range and it's taking forever to download any game as a result.

You're not the only one getting sub-optimal speeds I can tell you that... I'm even getting server-side interruptions in my downloads every now and then and have to resume manually.

Tried to open a ticket about it with support - their main solution/recommendation was to use Galaxy. Thanks, but no thanks.

About an hour ago I downloaded all 10GB of the Final Cut update of Dreamfall Chapters in.... *checks* 28 minutes. Not the swiftest, but nothing to complain about either from my side (direct download; no Galaxy, obviously).

It used be fairly slow for me, but i guess they added a fast cdn for the UK as during one of the big sales (can't remember which one) the speed went up for me to the theoretical maximum of 20MBytes per sec on my line... so no complaints here ever since :)
(I am on Virgin fiber for those wondering in the UK)

Today it's slow here (Germany), downloads started at around ~120 KB/s. Two later accelerated and used the full bandwidth. The ones I started a few hours later are between 25 and 75 KB/s. Download something from different sites has no issues to use additional bandwidth (several MB/s).

For the last two days I've only gotten 3.5 to 4 mb/s for both Galaxy and the downloader. Plus, Galaxy started crashing my computer a few minutes into each download yesterday, so I'm having to do each install manually for 40+ Gbs of new purchases.

Must be nice having 3.5 to 4mb/s be slow. I can't even get that on a good day here in Australia
