zwolfy: Did you patch the game all the way? Only thing I found really annoying in Legendary Edition was the followers getting killed like flies. But then again, they would break my stealth so meh.
avatar
Wishmaster777: It was patched all the way through, with the patches for the add-ons included. It is all about patches and fixes, and less about the gameplay for that one. I did play it for hundreds of hours, maybe over a thousand, I don't know, but after the hundreds of hours of gameplay I have encountered mission breaking bug one after the other, I had to let it go. Heck, I have somehow managed to resolve a quest that has been stuck for months, the one with Greta and going to the Temple Of The Divines. Like I said, there are hundreds of games in a better state than this one. I am done with Bethesda games released with and after Skyrim. What I will continue playing are The Elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Fallout - New Vegas.
I can share an even better story.
I just played the game at the PC of a good friend (no steam for me), because he was like "it is the greatest", while i was feed up with the "Bethesda-Deal" after Oblivion and Fallout 3 in such a short time, that I wasn't even able to stomach the Oblivion Addon.
A lot of stupid stuff happend in just that few hours, that I never want to touch that game again.

But the best was:
It took me only 30min to welcome back an old friend of a very bad engine bug I already knew (and feared) in Oblivion and even more in Fallout 3.
An to empty room, game locks up and takes the machine with it (XP back then).
In F3 it was that bad, that my chance to leave the vault after the tutorial was like 25%. All the other times it locked up somewhere at the last map.

Even better, after Fallout 4 was released, he told me he got the same thing. Just now on a brand new windows 10 machine.
10 years and Bethesda was not able to fix their broken mess of an engine...
I never want to touch any new title they got their hands on as developers.

Orkhepaj: why should i stop buying on steam?:O
avatar
DoomSooth: You stop buying through Steam so Steam loses steam.
Why? They're a better platform by a long margin.
I thought it was server'd mmo style; can you even do that drm free?
Anyways Morrowind is where it's at medievil fantasy is done to death and morrowind at least had a major diversion from the status quo kings and castles.
As said in a different tread, I do not think Skyrim (or Fallout 4) will ever be released here now. This is becuase Bethesda is only selling the Special Edition now, and it has the Creation Club incorporated. I can imagine the shot storm some users here will kick up if this happens. I see no reason why Bethesda would sell the original (non CC version) as 1) they need to maintain two different versions and 2) they are promoting the CC anyway, and do not want to sell the games without it.

No, Skyrim is a 100% offline single player game, same as Morrowing and Oblivion. You are probably thinking of Elder Scrolls Online.

On the other hand, according to the Steam statistics, I now have ~340 hours in Fallout 4, ~230 hours in Fallout: NV, ~180 hours in Fallout 3 and ~ 390 hours in Skyrim+SE. Worth every penny on cost to hour ratio, enjoyed every minute of it, and can not remember having a single game breaking / crashing bug. So yes, I am very happy to be a sheep. Baaaaa.

(might also add I have never thouched the Creation Club button. Nexus mods works fine for all the games)

Of course ZeniMax Media Inc., Bethesda Softworks, and Bethesda Game Studios will probably never release both The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4 100% Digital Rights Management (DRM) free on gog.com, because both of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4 using the Creation Club mods microtransactions to sell.

However I can wait until I die, because I only have purchased The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on Steam back in 2011 and have never ever purchased Fallout 4 to this day today still and will not be purchasing Starfield at all.

So whenever ZeniMax Media Inc., Bethesda Softworks, and I guess I can say MicroSoft since MicroSoft purchased ZeniMax Media Inc, want my money, then I can wait no matter how many years it takes. If it takes ten more years or fifty more years.

Or when I am dead MicroSoft can open up my coffin and take $50 dollars (USD) or $100 dollars (USD) by then from me.

considering the amount they have already made on those games, I do not think Bethesda is losing any sleep over the lack of your $50 (USD) or $100(USD), nor find it cost efficient to rob your grave

Endoral certainly, though a few of those like Falksaar are just new places you can go to, still more or less Skyrim.

By Total conversion i was thinking more like a completely different game/world. In one TC the intro is kept but you are told you were suppose to go somewhere else, so you get back on the ship. then there's a shipwreck and you literally start from scratch from there at level 1 after getting your class/skills/race finished.

Other times only items (basic armor weapons, spells, configurations for species, etc) is kept the same while nearly everything else is replaced. One TC for Morrowind made it Star Wars.

Though which mods would still work (say new skill trees, etc) i'd want to see a different story and game, not replay and have to do the same quests over and over again, and going over the same terrain over and over again.

Also for some reason i can't get Endoral installed to work right. Maybe cause i'm doing it manually because it insists on doing things in the steam directory. I don't know.
