Unlikely imo. However, If you download/back-up your games, it won't matter. (at least for single-player; obviously multiplayer for some games could be affected if Galaxy / servers stopped working)
I doubt it will be due to staff problems, but who knows, if hundreds of millions are under lockdown conditions, maybe it could slow down the net, because so many people want to watch Netflix etc.
So better download offline installers, if you want to play anything in the next few weeks, just to be safe.
It's possible for any business to shut down at any point in time. There is no such thing as any guarantee that any business will continue to operate in the future. And anyone who says there is, then they are telling you untrue BS.

So yes, a site closure is always possible under any & all circumstances of life.

I'm not saying that I expect GOG will shutdown soon.

But my point is simply that no one can provide a definitely accurate answer of "No" to the OP, as there is no such thing as people who can see into the future.

Unlikely. The nice thing about the IT sector is that most, in some cases all, of the work can be performed out of the office, from home. I am now working from home too, we've just agreed with two of my colleagues that only one of us at a time goes to the office (just in case something needs to be done there for the servers on site etc., so that one is there ready for such emergencies; that happens very seldom though, that something really needs be done on site).

What the corona virus did cause was that suddenly all our customers needed more VPN connections/accounts, so that they could work from home. :)

That reminds me that maybe I'll update my local GOG game installer collection right now, with gogrepo... It's been a few weeks when I did it the last time.

Agree with timppu, it is lower risk. Very little is needed to keep the store running, it will likely mean a reduction or stopping of new things arriving. Maybe an impact on cyberpunk release, but that’s speculation.
Profits I can’t see being hit immediately, though the economic effect is going to hit everyone and every company, so depends how exposed they are.
As always, ensure you have local backups of everything, do not rely on third party’s o do this for you.
I'd go with "Highly unlikely as a result of Coronavirus". Video game stores like GoG, Epic, Origin, UPlay along with subscription based entertainment like Netflix and Amazon Prime will be raking in the cash as people stay at home. They won't find it too hard to find people to do the small number of jobs that require someone physically on site, and sensible precautions in a fairly empty workplace will mean that the risk of any employees not at home contracting the virus would be slim.

GOG won't be shut down. They've switched to remote work: https://twitter.com/GOGcom/status/1240338691610103808. :)
I hope not, as I'm currently stuck in my location, new games and GOG are desperately needed to keep me from going insane and getting cabin fever.
Everything's possible. Excluding things that are impossible. That probably means most things are impossible actually.

It's pretty unlikely that the site would go down at this point in time though.
Are you kidding me? This is probably like harvest time for businesses like GOG.

Is it possible? Yes. Everything is.
Is it likely? Nope. Not in an industry where both (a) safety distances at work, and (b) working from the home office, can be easily arranged.

But still possible though, no ?. Because everything is possible, except things that are impossible... :p

It's possible it's possible, assuming it's not impossible.
