When I saw that I didn't "own" the game in the store page, I had to do a double take lol.

I guess I didn't notice the update until now, but I thought the Ultimate edition I had included everything. When did this (stealth or did I miss an announcement?) update happen?

I also feel that Stardock missed a golden opportunity to show appreciation to the current owners by updating their "Ultimate" version. This was a good way for them to promote their future games or at least build up good will.

Now I have no incentive to buy any future similar games from them, since Trinity and Rebellion has tons of replay value and have aged quite well. There's really no reason to look in their direction anymore.

Though I still appreciate both their games, just not their choice of decisions.

When they finally added the MInor Factions DLC for Rebellion which had been missing for years on GOG. Granted the price is rather exaggerated for the new Ultimate Edition, but it's a good game overall. Stardock and showing appreciation don't really mix...

Latest patch (1.95) has been released without delay this time, so I would say it is a great improvement, still the several years of waiting and begging for Minor Factions DLC antagonized many players. The game has great replayability, active modding community and the Minor Factions DLC is really worthy addition (especially when bought during a sale).

Thanks for the info everyone. I may get the DLC, but for now I'm trying a few other games.

I've played trinity to death lol, but at some point I'll have to try out Rebellion (probably with the DLC).

So many games, so little time...
