Recently, Rockstar Games released GTA The Trilogy The Definitive Edition.
I wish Konami would decide to re-release Silent Hill 1, 2, 3 again. I've never played the game. I didn't even have a PS2. The HD collection is not worth the price on Xbox 360. Honestly, only Xbox players can still play SH2, SH3 because it is backwards compatible.

Pick up a used PS3 and buy them on the store. Silent Hill is a PSOne classic and 2/ 3 are in the HD collection. Sell when you're done.

I would like to see that too, Silent Hill for PC and 2 and 3 re release would be great, but it's pretty hard to happen, the second and third installments lost their source code and it's really complicate to adapt them without a great inversion, thing I really doubt Konami would do for a re-release.

Konami kind of sucks as a studio right now ever since they pivoted toward pachinko (gambling) with their most famous IPs appearing in Pachinko machines (basically only CGI scenes). HJowever, they are probably pivoting away now given that Japan has finally made casinos legal and are currently working on establishing one.

There are rumors of a metal gear solid remake so I wouldnt put it past them to do a silent hill remake. Not sure about a rerelease

Well, that's kind of a little dream for me. Since we've got a remake of RE2 I wish we have a Silent Hill remake. But who knows maybe at one point in time we'll get this game in our game libraries and will enjoy it as we did with RE2.

konami is a very bad company dont expect anything from them

I'm pretty sure the source code is unnecessary, Bluepoint were able to remaster MGS 2 and 3 using working PS2 copies of each game. The missing SH source code fiasco was just an excuse for the terrible HD Collection in my opinion.

But yeah, I do agree we shouldn't place our hopes in Konami, the only way we'll get proper remastered versions of the original games is if Sony or some other company steps in with a fat check and an exclusivity deal.
