Since I recently asked for Day of the Tentacle Remastered from TCG (Thank you Doc0075 and moonshineshadow) and it will take some time to come on gog.
Should I play the original version?
Won't it spoil all the fun?
Also is it true that it's one of the greatest Lucas Arts game ever made?
This question / problem has been solved by JudasIscariotimage
Just wait til the remaster comes out. I will bet money that there is no reason to play the original.
maybe they'll do it like secret of monkey island where you can switch back and forth mid game.

100% yes to this. It's one of the greatest anyone's ever made, and it's perfectly playable anyway. The remaster only really polishes the graphics a bit, making them look non-pixelated, but the art is exactly the same. So, why wait?
Patience. It isn't that long until it comes out. And you know, you can always just play a mix of original and remastered, I mean it will be just a button press for switching between the two ;-)
And yes, best adventure ever :P
It doesn't make much sense to play the original game and then the remastered version again. So I would wait.

Yes. This is a game that's worth playing many, many times.
Thank you all.
I will wait.

Well probably because its a hard game to find and pirating it is not exactly supporting the game is it?

I guess you could buy old retail discs on eBay or Amazon marketplace.

Yes. Lots and lots of sealed boxes on eBay for one.
He might already own the game, even?
What's YOUR problem and why am I on the stand?
I somehow missed the game, and I definitely want to play the original first. That's just a personal preference with these remasters
