It itches me so hard to get the games but lacking Linux support really sucks. All the Quake games have Linux versions and Doom also has binaries all over the net. It's the second time I want to buy them all and I know that the only way to possibly influence the Linux availability is to let GOG and Bethesda know and if they care... then one day I will buy the games. But not until then.

Thanks a lot for the offer, though.

P.S. Can a moderator please correct the "Shooters" in the topic? Thank you.

Anyone?
Those games are so old that it would be a miracle not working in Wine or a virtual machine. I know, they're not native, but you know that we have to deal with this stuff on Linux.

Games like Doom or Wolfenstein can be easily played in DosBox, RtCW and Quake are ported to Linux already (, [url=https://github.com/yquake2]Yamagi Quake II.. ) But they're not available here, you have to manually unpack windows installer first and get them to work.
A GoG repository would a be a great feature : )
Indeed, a GOG repository would be quite nice but not doable considering it should not be public.

There are two ways to handle password protected repositories: by FTP and SFTP. Obviously, FTP is out of question considering the credentials are sent in clear text, but SFTP is not so good either because you'd have to have an SSH key, which complicates things too much.

I would be happy with Linux packages, no problem. I just want the Linux versions in here, considering all the aforementioned games either have official native builds or they have community supported builds that work great. Sure, Doom 1+2 and Wolfenstein 3D are a piece of cake in DOSBox.

GOG generally doesn't deal in community supported stuff. Remember, everything GOG sells, GOG supports, and they likely don't want to get into supporting the community built engines.

Bethesda is likely a blocker too. If GOG starts selling Bethesda games for Linux, then some consumers will expect the Linux version on Steam.
It's not like it would lower their chances to sell more copies. On the contrary, it opens up the door to a larger audience.
