Hey, maybe this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find a post about it. I also tried to reach support, but I am guessing their system is a bit messed up over the holidays, because I didn't get either a ticket number or a response for several days. This is why I am asking here on the forum and hope one of the blues (aka. gog staff members) can respond to it:

There's a new game out by Zachtronics: Shenzhen I/O

It looks very interesting and plenty of fun. I am sure many of us enjoyed Zachtronics' previous games and would like to play the new one, too.

Shenzhen I/O has been on Steam Early Access since October 6th. Of course gog can only offer a game once it is out of Early Access on Steam. No worries here. I'm just trying to give a bit of a timeline.

The game has been released on November 17th, 2016.

Shenzhen I/O has now been available DRM-free on Humble Store for a month (that I am aware of; maybe longer).

Here's the question: Will Shenzhen I/O be available on gog anytime soon? And if so: when?! Or do you -- gog -- prefer us (or rather me) to buy it on Humble Store?

For your interest: I asked Zach (of Zachtronics) in September (right when he announced the Steam Early Access of his game) and again in December whether his game would come to gog and both times he replied that it would. Although his response in December was really rather curious (I'm not disclosing at this point why I feel that way).

So, please gog staff: can you give answers to my questions?

Thank you.

No, they cannot. GOG does not discuss any potential future releases, nor does it discuss any rejections. So any answers you get will have to be from the publisher.

Okay, wasn't aware of that. Thank you.

In that case it is off to Humble Store, I guess. It is just taking gog too long, that's all. I am well prepared to wait for a DRM-free release. But since it is already DRM-free on Humble I really struggle to understand why gog intentionally misses Christmas season for a release of a new game. But that's their business decision. I am just questioning, whether this decision is sound.
