Is it possible to change the background on the Shelf/library page (GOG client)?

On the bottom of your library should be the word "Style:"

You can use that to change the background.

Well, that changes only the shelves? Wooden shelves on greywhite background is not so nice, would be cool to be able to change the background to match the shelves.

The "Adalia Fundamentals" and/or "Barefoot essentials" plugins allow this. You should maybe try them.

Oh nice. Will it work in the actual GOG Galaxy client, or only when accessing GOG in a browser?

Since Galaxy Client has no addons, there is no means to do this without complications.

Personally, I'm more annoyed that we can't switch the title cards back to the box art we had before some update or another. Having shelves in the first place made sense thematically when the games were made to look like physical boxes. Now that that's gone, the shelves just look completely out of place.
