This is my tribute to legendary Amiga side-scrolling platformer Shadow of the Beast from Reflections Interactive (1989), showing its revolutionary 12 levels of parallax scrolling bitplanes in browser.
I'm using original Amiga sprites to combine the pixel-perfect first level and add some interactivity.

Beautiful!

However, it would be nice if the minimum scroll distance was lower than it is. It is hard to appreciate the many layers because the whole thing scrolls too fast to see them properly.
Very nice and don't forget to belt the shit out of his :)
No spoiler.

Youre right, default step for the scrollbars is browser/user specific. Now I added the automatic (animated) scrolling options by three new buttons.
Thanks for reply...

Perfect! Now you can really see it in all its glory.

I must admit that I never found SOTB to be a very good game in and of itself, but the graphics and music were unparallelled at the time, and I played it just to experience those.
Great stuff, but something is missing...

Ah, here it is. To be played in the background.
Paralax is a silly word.

.... sorry, just had to get that out of me.
Nice :)

Strange, I'm not hearing it. It's not a problem with my sound, because I have the YouTube video playing here...
