Right now this appears to be for exclusive DLC however this has a high chance of expanding to other live service options.

With DLC being DRM'd by this service it looks doubtful future Sega games may make it to GOG in a complete form.
Yup I saw it earlier. At least is not an ingame account system from what I see like Sony did theirs. But as you said content may be missing potentially in new releases here

I'll worry about their future games once we get the Warhammer Total War trilogy.

So, you know, presumably some time after George R.R. Martin finishes A Song of Ice and Fire, but before I get a date with Margot Robbie.
We already have missing content in Two Point Hospital if you don't play online. No account attached to it, but still gameplay content gated behind online connectivity.
Hmm. So in exchange for my information and further brand loyalty; I in return receive digital cosmetics, small amounts of currency for addictive live service games, records on the games I have played, and a "host of benefits" from the "various new features" so incredible that they don't exist yet and cannot be listed. I don't think I'll be in a rush to create a SEGA account. Though this is just to state the obvious...
now i want sega to make a steam, gog, epic games, etc competitor, then slowly go back to making consoles
They recently removed dozens of their classic games from Steam too. Wonder if they're gearing up for some kind of subscription service.

Hopefully Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth still makes it here, but this isn't a great sign.

I can get you a date with Robbie Rotten, will that do? The character, not the actor/singer.

If you were able to do the latter I would be very impressed, all things considered.

Then after they start their own PC game store and finally make the Dreamcast 2 console, they shutdown their own PC game store, putting their games on Steam/GOG/EGS again and stop making consoles then put their games on Playstation/Xbox/Nintendo consoles again 10 years later lol.

It would be funny to see Denuvo DRM added to 30 year old 16-bit Genesis games where the DRM takes more space than the games and makes the game stutter more than modern AAA games like they did with Sonic Origins...
I get them not wanting to bother making Sonic available on GOG, but can we at least get a good few classics compilations like they used to? I was wondering if the Phantasy Star games made it here or not.

Why stop there? Bonnie Rotten might be single now since she filed for divorce recently.

Well, thanks to the two of you my search history is really bizarre now.
