Starmaker: They kind of are, when addressed to public people during a shitstorm. There absolutely are people who express their
sincere wishes that, e.g. abortion doctors got lead poisoning, fully expecting and hoping someone acts on their wish. There are currently some fuckers suing PP on behalf of the murdered people whose argument is that the sincere wishes were a serious enough threat for PP to move into Cheyenne mountain, which they neglectfully didn't do.
That would depend entirely on the country's definition for what a death threat amounts to in law. Like ''harmful communication'', ''criminal intimidation'', ''threatening to use criminal force'' etc. None of them will be as vaguely defined as the definition you posted.
