Why does gog needs to run scriptinterpreter.exe with administration privileges?

Blah blah blah program files\ blah blah blah program files(x86)

NO! I have it in custom folder and even games are in my custom folder where I have all the privileges and such.

Why the hell it acts like it needs to install redists that need UAC prompt when it only updates the game. Even steam only uses UAC prompt when installing system redists.

Also I think no dev will ever fix this since everyone is lazy and not give a crap unless it would be broken. And even if it was broken legit it would only might get fixed. Where's all the correct programming went?

My guess, is it would want privileges because then it can infer those to other programs it tries to run...

Though if you'd prefer you can click 'allow' on several possible redistributions rather than one... But that's just a guess.

This feels like it's a Galaxy question.

Try here: https://www.gog.com/forum/general_beta_gog_galaxy_2.0#1638195129
GOG's current biggest differential that's advertised is being DRM free, which in this context would be "client free", so I'd suggest avoiding Galaxy if possible.
Oh right, another complaining thread that's misdirected.

Just get rid of UAC, it's worthless and causes headaches, which you're currently experiencing with your psychosis.

Maybe. UAC with Vista you know was bad, It was so bad they had a commercial in the Apple vs Microsoft fight.

Though simply lowering it or accepting the UAC for major changes in the system is just fine. It's not like it's going to pop up all the time... Right?
Fix the fucking UAC prompt for updates already! Steam doesn't do that shit! Allow me to use non admin install paths for fuck sake!
