Vythonaut: I have no reason to believe that Amanita hates GOG or wants to screw it's customers or whatever. OK, noone can look away from what happened, the bundle was like a slap in the face for some people (those who preordered or instabought it on GOG) but I feel like it was the same way for Amanita Design guys to see people paying pennies for the bundle. I mean "that's what our games worth?" kind of thing...
To be honest (and if you want you can call me fanboy although this isn't the case here), Machinarium was the first digital game I bought (directly from their website) and it was absolutely worth it. It is a great work of art, I enjoyed it immensely and I would feel cheap if I bought that for literally a penny knowing that the dev won't get payed for their hard work. Even if it was offered for free, I would buy gift codes to show my support as I've done many times in the past for games that I really like.
Regarding Samorost 3, I've been waiting for it for a while as I enjoyed the previous two short games but I don't think I'll buy it soon. If it was cheaper I would but at that price is a no-no for me right now (plus I consider buying something rather expensive from the sale that I wanted to play for a long time).
So if it arrives here at 19.99 you will wait and not buy it ?
19.99 is a lot, i might spend that on a game, but that would have to be a game that i know how it plays, that no flashing effects are in the game, no zooming in/out rotating and more shits like that.
Okay the devs always say: its 2d game, but also in 2d games there can be lots of zooming in and out, and thats why playable demos are so valubale, this way you can see for yourself how a game plays, videos do not match playing a game yourself, i had some games that looked okay on youtube but when playing i got dizzy so i prefer a demo, not a silly video.
But 99% of the devs always claim that: after playing a demo chances will be big most of them wont be buying the game which is nonsense, in the beginning ( pentium 100hz and lower ones) i bought most full games because of a game i had playable (no rolling demo cause thats same like a video) demo of.
So its good that Nelly Cootalot had a playable demo, shard had a demo, underrail had a demo, and all the 80s game had demos, cause thats the way to promote a game, and not by letting welknown people talkabout it when they play the demo and tell stories so we go and buy them, i want to play myself, not another popular dude on youtube who is trying to winover more followers.
