Awesome. I was hoping SR3 would come to connect since it's broken on Steam.
Some time back I was unsure if I should pick SR2 or SR3, went for SR3 and now have the other one, for free. Thanks!
This is great news! If you didn't have the SR 3 dlc on steam the gog version includes it which made my day.
Hmm, it seems GOG Connect couldn't pick up Gat out of Hell for me. I have it on Steam, and I was able to get SR3 and SR4 without any problem.

Why is it broken? I've finished it a couple of years ago without any problems.
Always been curious about this series. Now I can give it a try.
I presume the first Saint Row game was never ported to the PC?

Correct. It was only for the XBox 360.
From what I've heard, though, we're not missing much. :P
The Connect thingy says I don't own SR4 but I do. Hell I have ever finished it not long ago.

Also, does this make SR2 playable finally?

I was having this same issue. Retried a few times and it recognized them.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

SR4 and Gat out of Hell would have been insta(re)buys anyway, with that discount especially, and just before ordering I noticed the GOG Connect info. So in addition to the low low prices Volition/GOG threw in SR4 for free.

I love you guys!

After a little research, I now get that the first Saint Row game was very much just another GTA wannabe, and it was until the second that the series begun to find it's own voice, and become something original rather then just a clone.
I admite that I like the sheer craziness of the progress of the series,..from a street gangster game to a game where you invade Hell to save the soul of your gang leader.
God damn it. I just bought them 2 days ago on my xbox to relive some old memories and now this?

Still though, great stuff gog, I love you guys lol
Oh hey, free game and GOG Connect for Saints Row 3. Thanks a bunch.

I played it a little over a year ago too and finished the main game. I've since built a new PC and a few months ago I had the urge one night to fire it up and do the side activities I didn't play and unlock the last few single-player achievements I don't have. The game closes after playing the intro movies. There is no error message, there is nothing in the event viewer, logs, etc.

At first I was blaming it on Windows 10, but after posting on the Steam forums I found people with the same hardware and Windows 10 that could play it and people with Windows 7/8/8.1 that had the same problem I was having. After some more research, it turns out to be something wrong with the way they've implemented the Steam CEG that prevents it from running on some hardware setups and no one has figured out the connection or how to fix it (other than using a crack). Apparently it has been broken since release because I found posts on the official forum made shortly after the release of the game with people having the exact same problem, and I have yet to find someone affected by this that has found a fix. Multiple posts said using a crack allowed them to play the game, so after a couple of weekends fighting with it, I gave in and tried a crack and the game works. The game started and I was able to load my old save and play around, but it's not a real fix because I got error messages about missing DLC, for some reason cars didn't make any sound and obviously using a crack prevents Steam achievements. At least it confirmed it wasn't Windows 10 or my PC.
I have Gat out of hell on steam but it wont show up on GOG connect for me.

edit:

just log in to gog connect after 15 minutes and it will appear in the eligibility box!

Thanks GOG!
