My previous thread was censored.
I stood up for our Russian Users friend, those who take part in the forum for years, people that help many other users and always were kind with everybody. Think is not fair to punish them because the simple fact that this users are not part of the war, they are just splitting our community for not reason, that excuse that taxes revenue will go to war is not true, after SWIFT Bank restrictions most users couldn't purchase games anyway, so what is the point of divide our community? Of discriminate users that were part of this community for years? Let's not make GOG Community part of the war!

Well, it's really lonely to be you, but I will stand, discriminating in the 21th century is a really fuck it up thing. After all this years I interacted with several Russian users and many of them help me with problems I had in more than one occasion, GOG Community and forum is not a political or war territory, so I won't tolerate this kind of things.

The situation is rather unfortunate and ultimately won't make much of a difference to Putin and his regime... but neither will getting yourself banned be any good.

As a person who has had times at odds with his country's leadership I empathize with Russians who want to live again in the times of Peter the Great and join in our European culture. Come, we have croissants and Bratwurst!

It's almost like the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012 made it legal to use propaganda within the states, or something.

Who cares about the western 2014 Ukraine coup d'état, eh?

I am already converting back to Steam anyway. It's annoying and expensive to re-buy games but CD Project have shown time and time again that they live in their own, Chinese financed, clout chasing, dream bubble.

Russians generally have the best taste when it comes to gaming. Difficult games, classic games, no bs.

Yeah, now people can release all that pent-up frustration due to restrictions, lockdowns etc on Putin, Russia and Russians instead of their own governments.

Don't forget the constant shelling and killing of Civilians by the Ukrainian army since then. Too bad nobody cares about that...

Disagreed. Their country has been invading other countries for centuries. They hardly deserve pity.
