Witcher 3 is very story focused, you'll probably like that. It's definitely an "action game" though so if you're new to that you might want to play on easy or something like that.

scientiae: Remember that min-maxing is the most useful tactic, wherein you maximize the strengths (for each character in the group) which inevitably leaves them with weaknesses. (These weaknesses you must compensate with other characters' strengths.)
Or, you make it so that the character's weaknesses are irrelevant. For example, does it matter if you have low strength if you aren't making physical attacks? Does having low vitality matter if you have somehow made a character who can't take damage? Do you really need your main fighter, who is not a spell caster, to have a high magic power?
