GOG really needs to change the way that games like Pillars of Eternity or the new Pathfinder are presented. Do we really need to see the same game FOUR times in the store, just because the developer has chosen to create a needless amount of different bundles, all labelled with some obtuse moniker like "Hero Edition".
This practice honestly just feels like spam and an attempt to monopolize store front. How many games have been bumped from the front page because of this practice and have lost sales as a result?
DLC presents much the same problem. Having had to navigate hundreds of individual song DLCs for Guitar Hero on Xbox I can easily see a game with multiple separate DLC taking up most of the best selling list whenever it goes on sale.
On the main page these games ought to just have "Starting at X dollars" and then click on it, and you get presented with the various editions (same with DLC). Just like how on other store fronts with physical items you might select say a chair, then choose a colour, and find that different colours are priced differently.
Now if the different editions are on sale, then sure maybe list them all individually on the list of games on sale page.
