lordlundar: For anyone who thinks something like this would be simple, Fire up Kerbal Space Program and try to capture an Asteroid. Good luck.
Screw that! Hook up the ol' 2600 and play Asteroids. That thing is impossible to control and all it is is a little triangle, slightly less complicated to put it mildly! :P
Better yet, Lunar Lander. The one with rotational thrusters and conserved angular momentum. Pure evil.

I'm still trying to land on Mun successfully. All have crashed so far.
I'm so happy that Philae made it! Now, hold on tight, Philae! :-)
So how did it go? I hope they don't wake Zatoth up.
"G!"

Considering all the water and life itself may have arrived on Earth by comets, you really want to land on want to find out what they are made off. Like really and not just speculate forever.

Philae (the lander) is pretty badass btw. It did not land on the comet one or even twice - but three times ;)

also attempt at selfie: https://twitter.com/philae2014

Ooh the radio news on my way in to work was worrying me because it was saying that they'd lost contact with Philae and they weren't sure if the anchors had deployed properly, but it looks like we're all systems go again now:

*phew*

BTW if the probe had been created by the developer of 'Fez' and he thought of it as his 'baby' would it be called
'Philae O'Fish'?
Boom, boom, I KILL me, etc.
Here all week, folks...

Wow! Thats pretty epic! Selfie on a comet! First time ever!
Good it landed, was hoping it land safely. Hope it brings new discoveries to Science.
Personally I don't use twitter and such, but the idea of personification of Philae and sending tweets as 'he' would do that is innovative and fun concept! :-)

Sigh, apparently Philae isnt getting enough solar energy as hibernating for now - but apparently it did manage to complete and send the data of its primary mission

Hopefully it will get more solar energy later and do more tweets, selfies and other essential stuff, but for now g'nite Philae :)
