Hi all,

I made my first purchase from GOG in 2015, when I bought the Fallout trilogy. Back then, I also received a game that was originally $9.99 for free as a reward (System Shock 2). My question is, was this promotion of "buy games, get some for free" just a one-time thing? Will GOG ever do it again, say, during a seasonal sale? Just wondering.

Thanks for any knowledge!

It's a more or less regular thing.
They recently did this again with Rebel Galaxy and Alan Wake's American Nightmare as rewards.

It usually only happens during bigger sales (i.e., not weekly/weekend promos). However, they sometimes still give away games in various ways (here or through their social media outlets) outside of major sales, and there was just a "buy anything, get a free copy of Double Dragon Trilogy" deal last week. Just check in often, and if you use Facebook, Twitter or Twitch, follow GOGcom there -- that should help you catch most of the special promos like that in the future. :)
Every once in a while there will also be a free game (or games) when they get a major release from a new publisher or from a major IP. For example, Mount and Blade was given away with purchase when all of that series' titles were added to the catalog. Or something like that. Ditto Morrowind leading to the giveaway of, um Daggerfall and Arena. And those are still freebies included when you buy Morrowind.

I still have a free bonus code for Constructor and Fantasy General which they gave away for free. Please tell me, if you want it. They expire next week and I would be glad to find a good home for them before that happens. :)

Now, I'm wondering if that's a typo or you're planning on easing those game codes into manhood... :P

It was a typo. But now I wonder, if my subconsciousness wants to tell me something... :D
