Just wrote the review

I didn't get a Thumbs up or down recommendation, pop up, it just vanished , on clicking post.

If that's changed, I fully approve, as I can't recommend a game if I don't know your preferences.
So I hated that, and the star system, won't numerically rate a game, my review is the words written.
Restricting the posts length is ridiculous, no room for more than a hint, so hardly reviews either.

Could be a bug though, which I suspect is more likely. So made post here, instead.

Recap of posted content, rewrite, can't cut and paste.
8-bit revival is balls, I did 8-bit when it was the cutting edge, it was cool then, not now.
My PC was 64-bit in 2005, now games finally are (Thank consoles for that wait), and I'm supposed to want 8-bit.
No Today, No next year, never again!
Old games I play as they were made, and love them, for at the time, they were at the cutting edge.
New better be 64-bit now, nothing less is acceptable (faked or not).

Worst part is the 8-bit Story "Game", is actually QTE cutscenes, nothing more.
QTE of the worst kind, the no effect on events "Typing" on the hacker boards, is meaningless, the cutscene, simply pauses until random keys are hit for each character typed, but the text is already set, it's just a cutscene.

Not impressed by the over-hyped mechanic, which is simplistic, and fails completely, when you know the trick.

It looked an hard game when You Tubers hyped it, but they played it more like an FPS, it isn't an FPS.
It's a stop motion shooter, which means no fluidity of action. I can only describe it as this sequence of separated actions.
(MOVE or AIM Again) STOP AIM STOP FIRE STOP (MOVE or AIM Again)

Just keep repeating that deliberate sequence and the game is laid bare as way too simplistic and so easy, even an FPS stinker like me looks fantastic in the replays, Cool?, if actually done at that speed, extremely lame when you know the truth.

Then the body swap mechanic is added, but it's way OP, and completely unneeded, only when I was forced to start with a swap, did I have to use it.

So over-hyped rubbish is my sad verdict, totally failed to deliver, on the promises, and has no potential to ever do so, it's clear why this mechanic has never been tried, it doesn't work at all.
You do realize that 8-bit refers to 8-bit graphics, specifically 8-bit color and not processor architecture, right?
Just wait :) It takes a few minutes for a review to appear after clicking "post".

Edit: At least in my experience it does. I don't see your review yet though. Hmm..

Not showing for me either. Since the sale started the site has crashed on me while messing with GOGMixes and the forums. Maybe it was just a bug, have you tried again?

Of course, it's only the "Cut scene" Graphics I'm referring to, in this case, not the gameplay.
The 8-bit revival, thing isn't just this game, but I'm using it as a symbolic metaphor, like I said, my PC was 64-bit, while games were not, for over a decade.

Now that games can be 64-bit, faked 8-bit is "cool", not on my PC, 64-bit is cool now, 8-bit stopped being cool to me, in 1985, when I got an Amiga and went 16-bit.
I had a similar time then My computer was 16-bit and all games were still 8-bit by 88 when I lost interest.
I played Elite (wire-frame original) on 8-bit and wanted full 3D, not wires or worse platform style 2D.

I never looked at another game until I saw Tomb Raider 4 on PS2, bought one and entire series the same day.
3D was finally a real thing, and I started playing games, once again.
I'm a cutting edge gamer, graphics whore to the core, I willingly trade graphics for gameplay, but it must be very good gameplay, stone cold is not god gameplay, and 8-bit cutscenes, made it worse.
That was due to the QTE typing more than the 8-bit, but the faked 8-bit added nothing to that to make it better.

The problem I have with the faked 8-bit nostalgia hype, is that it happens now when we should bee hyped for what 64-bit brings to the games, the cutting edge is moving again, after stopping for a decade long red light.
8-bit is doing a U turn on getting the green light, it makes no sense to me.

Again: do not compare a 64-bit processor with 8-bit graphics. One has nothing to do with the other.
And anyway, I totally and complete disagree with you. Trading graphics for gameplay? No. Hell no. I'd rather have a nice game than good graphics. I'd rather have a good story than effects. Same applies for movies.
Sorry, you misunderstood my meaning,

I meant the only thing I trade graphics off for is great gameplay,

Take Homeworld Remastered, they ported Homeworld to Homeworld 2, for graphics, but sacrificed the Homeworld gameplay. I never played the originals, but others who had, said that both games should have been upgraded separately, none wanted to play Homeworld in the 2 engine, too many changes were made.

I play Homeworld Classic and Homeworld 2 remastered, This makes my point.

Homeworld the sacrifice of gameplay for graphics is not acceptable.
Homeworld 2 I take the graphics of remastered over classic, as gameplay is the same.

Sorry for not explaining it clearly, first time

{Edit} as for the 8-bit graphics on 64-'bit machines, I'm fully aware of the reality, but the symbolism remains 64-bit machine running 8-bit game.
I use that symbolic image as a Metaphor for the real issue, 32-bit games on 64- bit hardware.
Also a reflection of when I was playing actual 8-bit games on actual 16-bit hardware.

It's the illusion of 8-bit being cool now, just when everything should be going all out to push the cutting edge.
I've lived through these changes a few times now, always the extending of addressable memory, provides the biggest improvements.

Visual representation of graphics has little to do with what the bit size does, to the addressable memory.
A pixel is always a pixel and colour choice hardly needs expanding any more.
As long has there's enough room too hold screens in Memory, 32-bit was enough for that (not sure 16-bit could handle it, probably).

My three 2560x1140 monitors, totals 11 million pixels, 4k is only 8 million. 32-bit at least, has no issues.
It's the Symbolic illusion of going 32-bit > 8-bit, instead of 64-bit, my post was criticising, not any sort of actual downgrade, which as you say, isn't the case. I just never expected anyone could even think I thought it an actual downgrade, as you say Graphics is nothing to do with it, as long as sufficient memory exists for the screen.

Should have realised stupid people, post stupid things, Not meaning your posts are stupid, just mean I could have explained my meaning better, think I did first Time, I rushed the rewrite, when I shouldn't have.
Basically I assume what's blatantly obvious to me, doesn't need explaining, but "internet" always needs it explaining, I always forget that.
