The project was too ambitious in my opinion and the 530.000 $ goal is a good evidence of this.

Absolutely. It should have been a lot smaller but looking at what the earlier projects got in terms of money, a lot of developers shot for the stars.

Not Super Nintendo, but there is a Sega Genesis game called Tanglewood that was released in 2018. There's been a few other Sega Genesis games released in modern times, with Pier Solar being the one I'm most familiar with (an HD remake is available on GOG, actually).

Both games are $15 digitally (apparently the "PC" version of Tanglewood is really just a ROM bundled with an emulator, so it's possible to play it on a flash cart if you want to play it on an actual Sega Genesis and don't want to wait for the cartridge to be made and shipped).

Are you sure that Rob Swigart was the creator of those two Kickstarter's campaigns?

I might of course be wrong, but from what I've read, he was very much involved.

Mouse for C-64? Never heard about that. I was using the joystick when I worked with GEOS. :-D

As a matter of fact, the Commodore mouse 1351 could emulate a joystick, while nowadays the joysticks can emulate a mouse. :-)

Anyway it worked in GEOS.
