Goodbyes are not forever (and war never changes).

It's not the first time we give this advice, but remember to take your Rad-X pills, try not to mistake a G.E.C.K for a gecko (not even remotely the same thing!), and take good care of yourself out there in the wasteland: Fallout, the premiere post nuclear role playing game franchise, is back.
The Fallout games have been with us on day one, and they played an inseparable part in defining the early GOG.com catalog. When they got swept away by radioactive winds, a gaping hole the size of California was left behind that we haven't quite been able to fill... until now!

Once again, you can pick up all three RPG classics at 66% off in a single post-apo bundle that includes:
--Fallout
--Fallout 2
--Fallout Tactics

We're welcoming Bethesda Softworks to GOG.com with more bundles, and tons of new classic releases - all DRM-free of course - and don't forget that two The Elder Scrolls classics (The Elder Scrolls: Arena and The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall) will drop like a bomb straight into your library, completely FREE with any Bethesda purchase. The bundle promos end on Wednesday, September 2, 12:59 PM GMT.

No, you don't have to. Just ignore them and you'll be fine.
I was never able to get 2 or Tactics, so I bought the bundle, though I'll keep 1 installed on my mbp.

But just to be clear in case it wasn't obvious - here's another vote for Mac as soon as it's possible.
Just buy it anyway on your Macs and download your own Mac DOSBox port.

GOG treats the old old Fallout games from the Interplay era and the new old Fallout games from the Bethesda era as seperate games.

But you still have the old Interplay games in your library, so there is no need to buy the new Bethesda games now, as they are identical in terms of content.

Ixamyakxim: LOL. I even played that one when I was on a tear of action RPGs (they were good fun on the console, playing with a friend - heck I even had a girlfriend or two at the time that enjoyed them!). And that one was pretty awful. Just boring and repetitive and didn't even try to hide it. Plus new enemies were just old enemies with huge HPs. I know it's probably much hated here for the unfortunate branding choice but the Dark Alliance games were very good.
I never played the second game because of how incredibly disappointed I was with the first one. I was so excited when it was released, and I bought it immediately. About 6 hours later, I finished what I thought was the end of Act 1. I had enjoyed the game up to that point, even if the RPG mechanics were so stripped down that they were just superficial. No, that wasn't the end of Act 1. That was the end of the entire game. I couldn't fucking believe it. I sold it immediately at a 70% loss and never looked back.
Well, two of the best PC RPGs are back, that's nice. I bought FO1&2 when they were "classic". Now I'd like to buy FO Tactics, too, but to get the discount I'd have to buy FO1&2 again, that sucks.
In the past, the games you already owned form a discounted series got counted in, why not now?
So glad the Fallout games came back to GOG. I missed the giveaway before.

Insta-bought!

It's not GoG's fault, it's Bethesda's, methinks.

Paczyk: To answer another question - will we ever have them included in the Bethesda versions? We will do everything in our power, of course, but I can't say for certain that we will.

yogsloth: Well.
Shoot.
I don't think that gunning down Bethesda employees will get us those goodies. Oh, wait, I think I may have misread your post.

Elbart: Lesson learned: Don't buy old games on GOG.
Don't follow, would you care to elaborate on this?

I wouldn't know and I'm not blaming anybody. That's just how it is.
Why can't I gift Fallout?

Gede: Why can't I gift Fallout?
It's one of the games that had their gifting disabled. See for the full list. Also, [url=http://www.gog.com/forum/general/list_of_gog_games_with_worldwide_gifting_restrictions?staff=yes]explanations from the staff members for this course of action.
