Due to a license problem, sadly we have to announce that Infinium Strike will be removed from our store at 4pm CEST today.

If you have purchased it, the game will stay in your library and you will have no problem accessing it :)

Have a good day!

Not much of a warning, any chance it will come back?

And it's gone already?
Bleh..

Oh - only a TD with middling reviews on Steam... meh...

What a useful announcement... NOT

"Here is less than an hour for you to buy the game if you want it. Love ya, bye"

Not interested in the game but announcements like this are basically useless.

Yeah, I believe 4pm CEST was 55 minutes ago. It's the summer time for the normally UTC+1 zone (so it's actually UTC+2).

Yeah, the announcement may as well have been made in the present tense.

Damn! I wanted to buy this game next sale, now I came from work and see it has already been removed, not good. :(

While we are grateful for telling us, 1 hour is not enough time for most of us to catch up with the info and react before the game gets pulled.

If i were you (GOG team) i would add a clause to contract for each game possible that in the case of game removal to have goodbye discount 2-3 days before being removed.

I second this. Not all of us are logged into the general forum 24/7.
Was a fun SciFi Tower Defense which kind of made sense (Turrets on a big ass battleship). Official gog communication on that one had been weird from the first non-announcement though.
Seeing all those "bad" reviews on Steam due to bugs and being unbalanced, I have to wonder if low sale was the reason... or simply because the contract with 1C went out.

However, in the end it really doesn't matter - gamers will turn to piracy as soon as there is a problem with licenses/copyrights anyway. If anyone really want such a game that is.

Actually it was only a little over twenty-five minutes. I stumbled upon the warning after the game had been removed. ;-)

3rded, this is ridiculous. Come ON GOG!
Like many said in other threds about removals, could you please use a special color when announcing this kind of thing? The normal green one tends to be overlooked.
Ouch. I mean, better than no announcement, or an announcement only after its gone, but... yeah... might have been nice to have at least a tiny amount of time to look at it.

[EDIT] Also, how does a game have a "license problem" on GOG but no such issue exists on Steam? Exactly what kind of license are we talking about, here?
