Is there a way to remove the side bar with "Search games" up at the top? It's really annoying. If I want to play my games, I'll go to my library.

Sure,
head to Galaxy installation directory, web folder and edit some files, remove appSidebar section from index.html nd so on.. Easy if you know what you're doing : )
