Not all heroes wear frowns.

Zwei: The Arges Adventure is now available DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 10% discount until January 31, 6PM UTC.
The land of Arges is in danger! Even before that mysterious stranger came to poach the six sacred idols, the land was ravaged by Pokkle and Pipiro's crazy antics and painfully unfunny jokes. But now the plucky 14-year-olds take it upon themselves to set things right by using magic, melee and LOTS of food in the chaotic real-time encounters ahead of them.

Craving more jRPG goodness? Spend some jRPG Days with us, in the company of beloved champions of the genre like Celestian Tales, Regalia, or the Ys and Legend of Heroes series, going for up to -80% until January 31.
Me: I'm going to finally spend a small piece of my money on Okami today.
Notification: Zwei The Arges Adventure is now available.
Me: Sonofabitch!

auroraparadox: If I enjoyed Trails in the Sky and Trails of Cold Steel would I like this game?

I don't have a good track record with real time combat games so I'm hestitant to pick it up.
Probably not. It's a very character-driven story with only a light plot, and the game's based around dungeon-crawling with simplistic combat. I think it's well-paced and fun regardless, but it's not for all Falcom fans (partially due to some odd design choices preceding games like Ys VI which made their action games more accessible).

Zwei: AA's all about blasting through twisty dungeons, hanging out with peculiar locals, and unraveling the nooks and crannies of a floating continent. The game's somewhat carried by its presentation but plays fine, better than it ever did for sure.

Thank you for the feedback. I really appreiciate it.
damn it ... so many JRPGs on sale right now and I can't justify buying them because I already have enough of a backlog, plus being a fulltime student (and still waiting for the financial aid to roll in for the semester).
