Prepare for retaliatory action!

UPDATE: Ever feel the urge to smash some familiar faces in? Who doesn't! The All Star Pack DLC is now available for FREE and it lets you kill, maim, and humiliate special guest stars from Orcs Must Die, Payday 2, The Escapists, Saints Row, Broforce, and other beloved franchises, using appropriately-themed weaponry. Put on your special masks and go mess them up!

Worms W.M.D., an exciting return to the roots, is available now for Windows and Mac, with GOG Galaxy support for achievements and multiplayer, DRM-free on GOG.com.

If there's one thing to note about Worms W.M.D. outright, is that at its very core are the very same beloved physics behind Worms: Armageddon. Recreated from the subtle intricacies of movement and shooting, the oddities, all the way through the delicate matter of the ninja rope.

Team 17 is bringing back the most adored weapons that have shown up throughout the series like the Concrete Donkey and Holy Hand Grenade. But there's a lot of new stuff here too — a weapon crafting system breathes new life into the classic arsenal (and gives you something to do between turns), tanks and helicopters introduce a new layer of mobility and destruction, and accessible building interiors provide tactical cover from the fires of wormy hell.

The worms have gotten a makeover too, but the hand-painted 2D battlefields remain, as always, your greatest friend and enemy in single-player and ranked multiplayer mayhem.

Employ your most slimy instincts and ridiculous arsenal for Worms W.M.D., a new take on a classic formula, DRM-free on GOG.com.

I never preorder any game. Ever. If it needs, I can wait YEARS, until it get's discounted :)
Nice GOG releases this DLC so quickly, at the same time as Steam. Saying that:

Can GOG Staff explain what happened to 8-bit Hordes Voice Pack that Steam has since Friday?

It's done a little differently for our versions as the Voice pack DLC is part of the main game so if you have the latest version of the game (0.73.625611 as I write this), you have the Voice Pack DLC.
Ok, couldn't find the option to turn it on and off so I thought it is not implemented yet :)
Good on Team17 for not only releasing the pre-order DLC, but for releasing it for free.
Great to see that they added the dlc, for free nevertheless. It's back on my wishlist.
Never played these games. What is the factor which makes them attractive to spend money on and play? Are they worth the time if one has a huge backlog? Thanks

I havent played this game - but worms series - especially old ones had great multiplayer. and - a rare thing - hotseat multiplayer - so you could play with your friends at home on one PC.
I've got Worms W.M.D. & can definitely recommend it, once Team17 add in the cross play between steam & GOG users.

It's en route (or is it here already? I've not noticed).

The game is definitely one of the best Worms games going.
