TheGrimLord: Serious Question: Is this a roguelike/roguelite or just a traditional arcade style twin stick shooter? I like twin stick shooters, but not with the rogue elements. If it's a regular twin stick I'm buying it tonight.
I'm only 90 minutes in, but as far as I can see it's an arena twin stick shooter with bosses on every floor.
I've died a couple times during the boss fights, what I can say is if you die during a fight you have the choice to respawn at the beginning of the room/fight (meaning you have to fight every enemy(boss again), provided you have another life. I don't know what happens when you have no more continues/respawns, but I've read that the floor is simply filled with enemies again and you have to redo every fight, no resets or something like that (as in you don't lose your upgrade progress). There's a 'hub' on every floor which acts as a checkpoint, with a few teleporters across the floor taking you to that checkpoint room.
Your unlocks aren't lost on death either, they are permanent.
