Made in a close partnership with Games Workshop, a story-rich classical RPG set in one of the most iconic universes of all time, made by Owlcat Games, developers of the critically acclaimed Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is now available on GOG! To make things even better, by purchasing the game in the first week of the release you'll receive Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate and Warhammer 40,000: Rites of War as a GIFT.

Moreover you can grab the game’s in its Deluxe Edition or Voidfarer Edition, and snatch the DLCs: Deluxe Pack, Voidfarer Pack, Limited Outfit, as well as Season Pass.

Please note: contents of the game’s DLCs are currently unavailable to access while playing offline. The issue is being actively investigated and should be soon resolved.

Let’s explore why it was such an anticipated title!

In Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, Begin your adventure aboard your personal, giant voidship, traveling between the multitude of systems within the Koronus Expanse, a barely charted and incredibly perilous region of space. Despite being considered a backwater of the Imperium, this region encompasses an enormous stretch of the void, filled with dangerous creatures and prodigious opportunities for profit and exploration.

Your role as Lord-Captain is pivotal; your choices wield consequence. Whether displaying mercy or disdain, upholding loyalty to the God-Emperor, or delving into alliances with enemies of Mankind, each decision, from character creation to quest outcomes, shapes the dynamic open world and its inhabitants.

Forge alliances and build your crew, composed of valiant heroes, enigmatic psykers, and even dubious xenos. These loyal companions will accompany you into the abyss of space, providing counsel, aiding in battles, and contributing to the accumulation of power. In turn, your influence will guide them through personal journeys that alter their destinies.

Precision is paramount in the game’s isometric turn-based tactical combat system. Strategize within the intricacies of cover, exploit the environment, and carefully position your forces to gain the upper hand. When conventional tactics fall short, leverage your companions' formidable abilities to triumph in even the direst situations. With a faithful adaptation of the classic Rogue Trader ruleset, the game unfolds with an abundance of possibilities waiting to be explored.

And if you’d like to join our Twitch Stream of the game, feel free to do so on December 10th, 6 PM UTC!

Dive into the uncharted depths of the Koronus Expanse, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is OUT NOW!

Vainamoinen: And the choice of Cyprus as their new HQ, well, that's some shady shit right there.
I'm sure you were around when GOG was incorporated in Cyprus and people's banks were bouncing purchases because of potential fraud :P. Thankfully those days are long gone, but my point is that doesn't necessarily mean anything shady is going on, at least not money-wise.

As to being a Russian developer, that's gotta hurt these days. Even if you (hypothetically) wanted to distance yourself from the politics of your country of origin, that's not going to do much, people will still say you're "part of a horde" or something just because you're not a partisan living in the sewers and planning an assassination.

But anyway, enough politics. I only brought it up because this situation is undoubtedly going to impact the quality of the game, at least in the beginning before an endless patch frenzy begins.

Aw, come on, I'm a benevolent dictator. :P

The game is fun btw.
I'm not far in, but if the difficulty options are anything to go by, this game can get just as tough as the first Pathfinder game of Owlcat. Maybe not as hard, but I'm still somewhat scared of future fights. :D

Edit: The game isn't as fun as I thought earlier. :/

a Psyker, a Warrior, a Sister of Battle and a Lord Captain walk into a pub

:D:D:D

Though the graphical side is a bit underwhelming (you hear no complaints from me though.... anything that runs on a gallon of water is very much welcome thank you very much) the presentation is of course marvelous, warhammer worthy so to speak.

Now lets peer into the depths of the abyss and see ......

BOW DOWN TO YOUR CHAOS GODS DWEEPS!!!!!!

coughs...

you know

We are talking about how bad Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is! If you do not understand that it is your problem.

kotcore: Nah not a Cent of my Money goes to Russia
That is super true, you are welcome in our club of "ork"-haters. You can send me a friend request, we will talk there, in DM section. It's a much better experience because there are a lot of snitches both those who work for/support "orks" and of course useful idiots (who are gog puppets) in the forum section.

I want to say Thank You to all gamers, who voted + for my mini-review on the Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader "game" page. Also if you are reading my message and have not voted yet, you can open the game page, find my review, and vote +1 for it, that will be a cool deed.
There's one thing I should point out:

* Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous has some LGBTQ characters.
* Russia has a law banning media with LGBTQ characters, I believe.
* Therefore, Pathfinder: WotR can't legally be distributed in Russia.

(This leads me to believe that the developers at Owlcat don't support the current Russian regime.)

Anyway, to get back on topic:

* Does Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader have any LGBTQ characters?

Then try writing something about the actual game (which I presume you already played through, since you have such a strong opinion about its quality) that would justify your opinion.

Unfortunately, I can't do that. I looked at the review, and it does not say anything meaningful about the game. If you think a game is bad and are going to give it a low-star review, you should explain *why* the game is bad.

Except that said discussion hasn't actually been about the game itself.

If you want to discuss how bad the game is, you need to actually discuss the game in question.

gog does not give an option of changing reviews that were written, so it is gog problem, and failure/

I want to understand what kind of person you are so I am asking you a question, do you like and support the situation on the Poland-Ukrainian border where a lot of Ukrainian trucks are blocked?

And is that why you can't say anything about the actual game here either?

So, is this what "We are talking about how bad Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is! If you do not understand that it is your problem" looks like? Cause it sure doesn't look like talking about Rogue Trader.

Tisk, tisk... every time you aggravate a polarized person a baby panda starts to cry, Breja. What a horrible person you are!

I mean... if you want to be lore accurate, definitely not in the Imperium (at least not openly). The commissars would be all over you. But I don't think the Eldar would have a problem with that, so perhaps.

P.S.: According to an online guide you can romance Jae Heydari regardless of your character pick, so there's that.

SvitlaSveta4: Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader should not be called a game. It is more like a pile of code that was written by one finger of the left leg that left after developers returned from "special operation".

GAMERS I am asking you to buy the Dawn of War games it is a much better investment, at the same time Rogue Trader - is throwing huge amounts of money to the wind!!!
Whats bad about the game? Apart from some optimisation issues (which I guess will be patched out, it was just a little bit too early release) the game is getting some decent reviews, seems like the game is fine.

and by the way, ALL digital games are code... and as a gamer, no game is an investment.

I was going to wait until the game had been patched a bit before buying it, but this thread convinced me to buy it now instead. I pre-ordered STALKER 2 at the same time, to keep the universe in balance. I don't believe it's helpful to boycott businesses in a dictatorship, as it will do nothing but harm the ordinary people there.

Not remotely true, you are deliberately derailing this thread and that indeed is sadly my problem as I have to read your posts.
Nothing you posted so far was about the game itself.

Edit: Nevermind, this is nothing but a waste of time. *sigh*
