There have been a few variations with aliens and the like. Who knows? Maybe the semi-coveted Star Wars Chess will arrive here someday...

There's LAN multiplayer too. Or rather TCP/IP multiplayer. To be fair, I haven't checked if it's actually working, but there's a menu for it.

The thing about all these fancy chess games is that it's a neat idea, but the animations get old after a couple hours when you'd seen them all several times already. And then you just end up skipping them anyway because they are slowing down the game and you might as well be playing normal chess.
