What can't be cured must be endured.

Unforeseen Incidents is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The Yelltown fever is making the locals uneasy, but they trust this private health contractor to put the situation under control. That is until Harper, the town's easy-going handyman, stumbles upon rumors of a nefarious conspiracy involving that very same organization. With the help of a friendly scientist and an inquisitive reporter, he must step on some powerful toes as he points and clicks his way towards the shocking truth.
Where is the Dev from. The art style reminds me of a French animated film.

Of course it also reminds me of the original Heavy Metal which had several different animators from all around the planet.
Just jumped to act 3, I'm at 4 hours 40 minutes (although I suck at adventure games so it's probably closer to 3h for someone experienced).

I wouldn't bash the game just because it's made on Unity; it's used because it's easily accessible by game devs and bad reputation of Unity comes from its easy use; people will just make trash games on it because it's easier than on any other engine. There are good games made on Unity; Cuphead, Ori, Hollow Knight, a game from Limbo developers which name I don't remember but it was highly rated, bah, Cities: Skyliness was made on it IIRC.

It's a German game.
Here is the presskit: Backwoods Entertainment
Mhm, not a fan of the artstyle, I have to say...
And the puzzles are incredibly easy as well, apparently, according to reative00?
So how's the plot? Anything noteworthy in that regard?
Otherwise that will be a three/three pass for me... (not to bash the game or anything, just trying to figure out if it's something I might want to play).
Looks interesting.
Wishlisted for now.
although i'm not so keen on the art style, i'd like to give it a shot! but why they are using Unity engine for an adventure game, is a mystery to me, so much waste of resources...

tbh it's not my kind of art aswell.... then again i was 'raised' with pixel graphics ( the real good ones not the games they release where the graphics look like zoomed in mosaics) i have all wadjet eye games havent finished any but i like them , they use the good old AGS.
The art in Unforeseen Incidents is more like flashcartoons but with a better colorscheme, flashcartoons look like, well they look like sh it to me :D

Total waste of resources indeed, i hope more of the same games ( made with AGS) will arrive soon on Steam... i have loads of "more of the same games" (niche games) and i love it, many of them are 'drm free' cause they need to be installed and downloaded with the evil steam client but afterwards you can archive (zip, rar, 7zip) and run on another PC cause they dont need the client, most of the games were written using AGS.

4 hours and more ? thats nice cause when it comes to adventure games i'm even worse so i might take 6 or more hours: 19.99 /6 = 3 and a bit which is a nice amount of cash , problem is: what if the unitygame barbeques my pc?
extreme cpu usage seems to be pretty rare cause everyone seems to have divine pc setups....
I might take another risk , waste 20 euros again.... on yet another unity project..... 20 euros is about 4 good HOG games at a summer/winter sale.

i have the classic installer but the game has 2 galaxy dll files installed ?
if the game does NOT need the galaxy then why the 2 galaxy files ?

nevermind :D ( making room on virtual shelves )

Well this game has cloud saves, and achievements, these need some hooks to galaxy in order to work...
I assume loading a save in galaxy (which was made when running without galaxy) may unlock an achievement retroactively ?

P. S. Did you try running the game to see if it strains your CPU?

Finished. 8 hours and 20 minutes. 66% achievements (and I think one of those I didn't get is bugged but that's not really a big deal). Last act is more of an epilogue-like rather than adventure-puzzle like, but overall the game was fun; dialogues was OKish to good, voice acting was good, puzzles varies from super easy to WTF-am-I-suppose-to-do (again; I'm adventure games noob so for someone who's pro with them it's probably from super easy to easy).

Overall it was OK game, nothing remarkable but definitely a good debut for Backwoods Entertainment (which I'll forever remember as Backwards Entertainment, sorry guys...).
Hey! I am stuck on chapter 2 radio triangulating. Got the radio and two highest places on the map. It makes red stripes on the map, however there are no new places or points on the map. Is it a bug or something? Help?

I tend to agree with AG reviews, so this looks like a safe buy now for me :)

Its an okay game , little expensive but its okay to buy.
I only read the bad sometimes called cons
the bad acording to the review:

Clichéd story elements with an ending that doesn’t quite land successfully
Certain puzzle chains lose focus on overall goals
Characters could use a bit more animation.

I agree with the last... looks like they 'cheated ' on animation, :D
have to see the other points first, but the animation is pretty average, I own many games that have better animation, even older games have better animation.

I guess thats the problem not having a demo :D ......

radio triangulating ? hidden object games use that a lot, but those can be skipped if you wait a few seconds, i guess you have to do it in this game to proceed ( don't know cause i still need to play the game).
