it should have been a free extra IMHO - but I'm not sure GOG "curattion" was interested and now it's a bit too late cause now it's old for an indie game (bundled to death) but not old enough to be a good old game.
They play quite differently I think, for example here my understanding is that enemies don't stop moving when the player stops
