GOG.com: Release: THE ZACHTRONICS PUZZLE PACK
From the checkout page: "...you already own [some games contained in this bundle] , and will not receive another copy when you buy this pack."

Edit:
Under the given circumstances (see above and attachment), it might be better to wait for the next sale - when either this bundle or the individual games are cheaper (again)...

Thanks for the info, and/or they should reduce the pack price proportionally to the games you already own.
Eh. Already own Infinifactory, Opus Magnum, and the separate Solitaire collection, which are the most lenient/casual-friendly puzzle games of theirs. The other stuff would just make my head hurt.
I already own SpaceChem, so I think it would be better to just get the ones I actually want when they go on sale.

Thanks for the information :-)
Ah, I was hoping this was an internalized pack where the various puzzles were now one big box game.

I always wonder who the target group of these bundles might be.

- Either I am interested in this publisher or this type of games. Then it is very likely that I already own some/ most of the parts. Buying the bundle anyways would punish me financially (because of duplicates).

- Or I'm not that terribly excited for this. Maybe one or two games could spark my interest. Buying the bundle anyways would punish me financially (because of useless chaff).

Soooo... why again would I (or anybody else for that matter) start buying bundles from GoG?

addendum:
Maybe I can construct a hypothetical case: A video gamer, who stumbled into a cryo chamber in the 90s, got thawed recently. Then they won the lottery and discovered GoG for the first time. In a rush of adrenaline, they realized that they could live out all their video game dreams by buying GoG's bundles.
Now, that's a solid business case! Hooray!

I have only SpaceChem from that puzzle pack, so I guess in theory I could buy it, with a suitable discount.

I guess the main problem is that it contains also games which apparently mimic programming. It just feels like a total waste of time to me personally because if I am going to learn some programming or scripting language, I'd rather use my time on something real, like learning more of python, bash, Ansible, whatever (I have some projects at work where I have to do something with those). It just feels... more productive to do the real thing, I guess? And kinda pointless do it in a game with a fake programming language, even if those games may teach you about programming principles and shit...

I think I feel similarly about games that try to emulate some mundane things, like repairing your car, building your PC, or cleaning your room. I get enough practice with those activities in real life (well, not really repairing my car anymore esp. as it is an electric car, but back when I fixed my car, I hated doing it).

So yeah, maybe pointless for me to buy those games, if in the end I probably don't feel like playing them... but then maybe if I tried them, I'd see the errors in my ways and find them enjoyable, who knows.

Screw you, GOG. Such offers are like spitting in the face of regular customers who have already bought something from you and probably should start regretting it. This package will be the best offer at some point (with discount) and you're simply ignoring all our opinions. Steam offers such packages with price reduction if you own one or more games. The same time you've made some other changes, nobody is waiting for, and you keep ignoring your customers.

Such packages are illogical at all, because where would someone willing to buy the whole package come from, if he has not played (and does not have) any of these games?

Oh, nice post. Exactly!

From business point of view GOG's bundles are simply nonsense and I'm a bit frustrated seing that they bring more and more of them. The same time they've disactivated totally old sale pages, which supported "the old way" bundles were handled here (when owning games give you incentive to buy instead of punishment).

I can only agree with the previous posts.

Virtually anyone points out that bundles like this, which don't take into account games already owned, are completely useless. Besides being just irritating because they create yet another element that isn't marked as owned in the store even to those who already have all the games contained.
Next to the missing special price for this package - no reduced price for those owning
even one game is ridiculous for a plattform which wants to attract customers - and even
during Autumn Sale.
Especially as gamers are well aware if someone does not play by ones own rules.

I know one use case for this bundle - if someone getting to know about Zachtronics
by a friend owning several of their games and that person does not own any game
of them and is on fire playing them, that person might buy this in case it is really
a nice bundle offering ...
Well, maybe GOG was too fast putting it up and messed up everything ... and
the offering and info, see below, will be corrected ... in a very distant future ... cough!

I own all of them (even those not inclused in that puzzle pack) except 'Last Call BBS'.
And I am playing on GNU/Linux only.
It is normal on GOG - but really should change - to not see correct info about supportet OSs.
As this is Windows only ... well ... not quite.
Another bundle on GOG - 5 games, 3 of them available under GNU/Linux - but not playable -
really was announced for GNU/Linux ... it was T.... - with devs not caring about their games
not working at all. And GOG is not responsive to really give the correct OSs to play games.

So what GOG does is literally saying: "Just give me your money - don't talk - p... o..!"

Those people must be really strong to behave like that ... a company of bullies ... or they
no longer need/want customers ... as you know: without users work would be so nice. :))

I think if Steam would be correct, more international rather than US-centric/only and not
misusing a constructed monopoly due to customer count and evil tactics (DRM, special libs
for devs using Steam glue, emulation instead of real ports - but pretending GNU/Linux games -
ups, same or similar for GOG concerning some points, ...),
GOG would have problems keeping any customer on their plattform.
But Steam does anything to help GOG survive ... a very interesting relationship. ;)

I would wish to have real reasons to be a GOG customer - and to see gamers respected.
.... I had a dream ... :o
