Reminds me of Another World and Flashback.
The Mac version in the current state has a problem with the fullscreen resolution and the game starts in the fullscreen resolution when you start it the first time. You can only see the lower left part of the game screen so you can't even see the menues in the center of the game screen which is somewhere at the right top, 3/4 out of sight. After some poking around in the dark I managed to make the game run in windowmode. No matter which resolution you choose, when you switch back to fullscreen, you'll have that problem.

So I played it a bit in windowmode. The gameplay is nice. It can be definitely compared with Another World.

But the next problem I realized which affects every version of the game is the bad german translation of the text. It seems that the text was translated with a translation program. Some textes don't even make any sense and you have to guess, what the game wants you to do. I don't know how it is in other languages.

I wrote this review here because it wouldn't be fair to give the game a bad rating. As already said, the gameplay is nice, but it still has it's problems which have to be fixed.

Looks nice. How is it?
I'll repeat what the others have already stated: the art in this game is stunning. I'll definitely keep an eye on it.
nice, wishlisted, thanks!
Another World and Flashback! Anybody understands russian here? What is the only review so far telling us non-russians? ^^

Google translate:
Music , atmosphere, the desired dynamics of the character , level design , story and all feed on 5/5

So it tells you nothing.
not so interested anymore in all these rpgmaker, gamemaker pixel games. but I gotta say, the guy who made these visuals sure knows what he's doing.

these screenshots look great. this looks really great.

shmerl: Reminds me of Flashback indeed. Wishlisted. Speaking of which, why isn't Flashback on GOG yet? Supposedly it's owned by Square Enix and they release games here.
I'd assumed it was Ubi's, since they published the remake. Though the same question then applies. I'd guess the answer involves some combination of the remake, UPlay, and maybe reported music licensing problems if those might have affected the original game as well.

Great, GOG apparently still hasn't sent the backer keys to PlayWay. Given that it's saturday now, I don't expect to get my key earlier than monday.

GOG, the signal you're sending is that if you happen to have a successful kickstarter for a game, don't launch it on GOG, or you'll have a ton of angry backers who won't get to play the game until long after everyone else.

Seriously, the game was supposed to have been launched on the 19th. This could not possibly have come as a surprise to you. Why the hell haven't you made the keys available yet?
I'm not big fan of this kind of game, but Another World and Flashback has special place in my top. And this looks like a sequel. At least from screens. So wishlisted for now.
Looks quite nice. And I noticed the resemblance to Another World before reading the post to the same effect, so they seem to have succeeded in that regard.
