mrkgnao: I often play my games months or years after buying them, at which point refund is not an option.

Mawthra: Do a quick install and test it within 30 days?
Wouldn't it make more sense for one entity (GOG) to inform all of us about it on the game's page, instead of tens or hundreds or thousands of customers having to test every single game they buy?

Until they do so, is what I'm saying

I feel sad for the developers this 'crusade' has taken away from the focus of the game.

Think about it before you spam every new release thread.
Think.

I can't believe I have to ask this question but, Will it support mouse and keyboard?
(Actually, I can believe it, sadly.)

The ..trailer?.. only shows controller buttons.

*edit*
Also, the game doesn't have a dedicated forum yet, the link on the store-page only leads to General.

tfishell: Is "The game features online components introduced in updates (SYNTHESIS, BYTEBEAT, LIVING SHIP, EXO MECH, CROSSPLAY, DESOLATION and ORIGINS) that require Internet connection" not sufficient because it doesn't mention single-player content? (Maybe that line refers to something completely different than what you're talking about anyway.)
The same game card states in a larger and bolder font at a more prominent place: "DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play."
If this tiny remark about "online components" is about single player parts of the game then the "DRM FREE" description is at the very least misleading and definitely should be clarified by GOG.

tfishell: Is the idea to get peoples' attention on this matter to hurt GOG's finances, until GOG does what people in the "No Man's Sky isn't fully DRM-free" want? I'm not sure enough people view release threads for this to really make a difference.

mrkgnao: No. I have absolutely no interest in hurting GOG or anyone else.

The idea is to draw GOG's attention (as well as that of its customers) to the fact that one can no longer know, when one buys a game here, whether it will have "single-player content locked behind online-only walls" or not, so perhaps GOG should consider making that information available, either by answering my questions in the release threads, or better yet, by clearly indicating it on the game pages. I believe this information is no less important than, say, whether the game has overlay support or not.

falloutttt: I like you.

It's good what you do. There may be no reaction from GOG as of now, but for sure you got their attention.

All the best to you!

mrkgnao: Thanks. I expect this will be a long campaign, so it sure helps to know that I am not alone.
Is the content spoken of really Single player content though?
Im not too informed in this case
but IN Diablo 3 some of the content there was a cross between multiplayer and singleplayer
The shop that was using real money was an example of this
there coud also be instances in other games where you coud earn something in only multplayer mode but also use it in single player content.

zeffyr: Reminds me of The Witness. Which I loved, but failed miserably on harder puzzlers.

I might pick this one up if the puzzles are on mortal's difficulty level.
I played the Witness at a friend's home (though just for a while), I liked it. I love this kind of games. I will try it out though I thank u for the warning about the difficulty. Might bough this Sojourn too.
Let's hope for the mortal's difficulty level wish ;)
Here's a nice compact review for anyone still on the fence... definitely wish-listed!

You decide (and post there).

The game looks definitely like something I will buy at some point. Lonely strange place full of puzzles? Yes please!

(I only hope the 1st person movement does not get me motion-sick, since I've had a hard time with numerous games in the past, e.g. Ether One. I would be glad if anyone could confirm if the field of view and camera movement can be configured through some options!)
I hope that the Deluxe Edition and the soundtrack will also be released on GOG!

That's a good point. I don't want to hurt anyone.
From now on, I'll post my question a bit later, once the interest in the release thread has naturally waned off.

Na, games like this get 2-3 comments. So if anything devs should be thankful for so much attention to the post.

And also, if GOG did their freaking job like they should, this "crusade" wont be necessary.
