I'm confused.. I somehow thought I already owned this on Gog O_o
Again my question:
What RPG elements does this game contain?
Night Dive is a good competitor to GOG at the Soon™ Olympics. At least, mistermumbles can die happy now. :P

Not as good as other FPS games of its time, but at least it has an interesting setting and some nice ideas.

You can find your answer somewhere in my mini-review.

The RPG elements are very light, but from what I remember, there are a handful of skills to upgrade, and there are people to talk to and shops to buy from instead of just running around fighting everything. It's about 80-85% FPS, but the dialogue makes it much more story-driven than something like Doom.

Siegor: From the video and screenshots there doesn't seem to be any melee weapons in this game. Call me old fashioned but I like my warriors with a shield in one hand and a sword or axe in the other.
Your base weapon is a dagger, which you use quite a bit in the game for stealth kills.

What RPG elements does this game contain?
There are four elements:
* Talking to NPCs to receive/complete quests
* Exploration
* Simple dialog trees
* Management/improvement of two stats: accuracy and stamina.

Oh.
Well, hell, it's about damn time! =P And so bought! ;)
oh hell yes!
Looks great. Wishlisted.
Well finally :)
Strife was cool. No idea how it's aged, but I'm willing to give it a shot.
Great to see this make its way to GOG. Bought!

thesmashingone: Should be running on a very modified version of Chocolate Strife, No idea on mods, sorry.

If by additions you mean with the additions that Night Dive Studios added, would you consider this acceptable? This release does not come with the DOS executable, but the source port should run closely if not exactly as compared to the original. One only needs the "strife1.wad" and "voices.wad" files for the source port, which are included in the Veteran Edition.

JudasIscariot: In the same directory where you have the modified Strife you will find a zip file called "strife-dos.zip". This zip file contains the DOS version of Strife that can be dropped into your own DOSBox install or however you wish.

tl;dr the original version is included.
Any particular reason this wasn't included as a separate download under "bonus goodies"? At least people would know it exists then.
If doing it that way is not possible for some reason, you should probably at least add a note to the gamecard mentioning that the original DOS version is present in the game directory. It will stave off future complaints / wishlist requests, for one thing. ;)
