It’s time – The Darkest Files is now available on GOG!

The Darkest Files is a historical investigation and courtroom game based on true crimes during the Second World War. Investigate cold cases, search for clues, interrogate witnesses, immerse yourself in the crimes and defend your case in court to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Looks interesting, but I feel like I have only a quite hazy idea of what the actual gameplay is like. I wish there was a demo, though I imagine it would probably be hard to "carve out" a sensible one out of a game like this. Maybe a separate mini-case?

Game like this should really be free since the German government and EU promotions funded it. (as far as I'm aware.)

The German Government might have supported this AS WELL but a quick research showed me that this was originally a kickstarter project:

Wanted to try the demo first, but it's only on Steam. Why? So we can't check it out here before buying? Sketchy.
