Stand in the way between your territory and destruction.

First-person sci-fi title Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri, the 1996 combat simulator, has just come exclusively to GOG.com and is available DRM-free for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

You, Nikola ap Io, are the one that will lead Strike Force Centauri into combat as what first seemed like the typical covert operation turns into a full-out assault. Choose between multiple types of suits, weapons, assistance modules and squad mates to follow your orders as the game pits you against all sorts of enemies - from pirates through psycho clones to tanks.

A variety of scenarios, weapons, mech and flight sequences, and more is what you’ll find in the classic Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri, now exclusively available and DRM-free at GOG.com.

What does the press say?

“A breakthrough in outdoor 3-D action sims, Terra Nova gives mech games and flight sims something to aspire to.” -- GameSpot

“Terra Nova is a good, fast-moving and atmospheric game - which is probably no surprise as it comes from the people who brought you System Shock.” -- PC Zone

“Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to work on my tank-busting skills provided only with a croissant, a simple blowtorch, and those new killer drone packs they gave me a couple missions ago.” -- Computer Games Magazine
Now *this* is a real good old game!

One of my favourite games of the 90s.
*Very* nice release, and interestingly at the $5.99 price point, after ND made the point in their FB post that part of the issue with the Microprose/Retroism games not coming to GOG was a disagreement on price point because ND was selling them for $6.99 on Steam.

Definitely seems like one of those deals where GOG did some compatibility work and got a short exclusivity period. Wonder what the price will be on Steam when it eventually gets there?
Thanks GOG.com!
Terranova? Cool release :)

catpower1980: Oh yeah, I liked the demo of this game in the 90's,, it was interesting back then. The game was already ugly and it hasn't changed now :(
Yeah, the gameplay was real cool, but the graphics were kinda ugly, even then.

But the tactical gameplay was really nice. :)

Another game I've never heard of before! Is it similar to MechWarrior?
Thanks for this release!

What about Powerslave (EX), dear Night Dive Studios?

Yes, similar, but you are faster (in moving).

Here you have some gameplay:

Not really, the action is much more frantic, it's more like Ghost Recon mixed with Serious Sam.

It looks like they've made Flight Unlimited too. It would be great to see that game on GOG!

tinyE: WTF!?

All GOG does anymore is release good old games! They used to release new indies!

This sucks!

*bow*
Thank you! :D
[applauds performance, then drops some change in grungy street performer's cup]
Good release!
Awesome release, still have the original box with the manual and everything :)
Hell yes. I first saw this on Ancient DOS Games and thought the concept was awesome, like an adaptation of Starship Troopers (the novel). I picked up a retail copy and played through it, but I'm happy to toss some money at GOG so we can see more stuff like this.
