Yo ho ho, and a bottle of Baijiu!

Jade Sea is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% discount until February 22. The base game Tempest and its OST are 70% off each until February 20, 11PM UTC.
Buccaneering knows no boundaries! Hop aboard a Chinese junk boat and set out to plunder the Jade Sea, where sea dragons roam. Before you get down to business, however, spend some time exploring the local taverns and shops on foot - they are quite the sight.

guys, is tempest fun and do these dlcs add a lot of content to the base game?

Tempest is not fun. It is a mobile port, done really bad, they didn't even bother changing the menus from swipe instructions. Not that mnus scale well on pc or are in any way usable. "combat" if you call it that consists of spwning on the same map with a ship miles away, and not knowing what on earth is going on most of the time.
Anyone thinking of buying this, simply don't. Total garbage. And now the stream of useless dlc continues.

It... breaks my heart to kinda agree with that (and I love pirates games).

Check out Rebel Galaxy for similar yet better gameplay. Or Atlantic Fleet (although turn-based, and with flaws of its own) for satisfyingly brutal naval battles.

There's a serious problem with the Steam version in that the DLC doesn't work at all. I take it GoG at least tested it to make sure it works, right?

Don't know whether they are German style but they rather look European. And there are also Asian style buildings in the video / on the screenshots.
