System Shock is a sci-fi shooter and a fully fledged remake of the groundbreaking original from 1994, combining cult gameplay with all-new HD visuals, updated controls, an overhauled interface and all-new sounds & music.

Now, its Official Soundtrack is available on GOG!

It contains 25 tracks, composed and produced by Jonathan Peros. This release has linear arrangements of all decks' generative music, along with a few one-off favorites.

Give your ears a feast of Citadel Station sounds!
Will Kickstarter backers get their keys for OST as well?
OMG, they listened! This is so much more convenient than Bandcamp or whatever. Thank you!
Always great to get another lossless soundtrack here
high rated
I miss the time when OSTs were included as a free bonus rather than being sold for a quarter of game's value.

The problem with the good old days was that most of the OSTs were encoded using primitive codecs with some of the lowest quality settings. My wallet misses that, but my ears don't.
Personally, I would have liked Night Dive to had made an remastered version of the OG soundtrack, instead of the new one. This is one aspect of the remake that disappointed me.

I hope they do a DLC that corrects the issue. It ain't Shock without the assertive soundtrack.

I agree, plus there have already been good remixes of the original music by fans.

What time was that (for brand-new, non-"deluxe edition" games)? I don't think it's ever been common practice for new or semi-recent games on GOG or other "digital download" stores, and it sure as heck wasn't in traditional retail.

Nice to see the lossless version! Though you could use FLAC instead of WAV, but that's a minor nit.

I think you can only get it on Backerit and it's unfortunately mp3 only. So for lossless we'd have to buy it over again. It's kind of a lesson for me never to back a tier with intention of getting a soundtrack. Buying later is just better.

I think pretty comparable. Bandmcap at least offers FLAC which metadata unlike WAV.

...There's a soundtrack?
No really, I watched an entire longplay of the game, I don't think it even reached Brian Eno levels of ambience.

Yeah, but I've never used that store and I've no idea if they're DRM-Free. Also nothing is stopping NightDive from uploading FLAC to GOG either.

They are DRM-free. And sure, Nightdive could use FLAC here too. But I think the benefit of Bandcamp is that they add needed metadata automatically to their FLAC bundles. On GOG it's whatever developers / composers provide.

They are -- in fact, when I first started downloading & buying there, you weren't even required to create an account (much like with itch and Humble Bundle). Not sure if that's still the case now, though...particularly since the acquisition by Epic Games.

As a side note, I believe it's actually standard for everything released for sale/download Bandcamp to be downloadable in a decent variety of formats, including FLAC. (Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean that everything so encoded will actually be high quality....)

According to modders, most of the music is set at 25% volume in comparison to other samples. I have the impression that whoever worked on the audio side of things was asleep at the wheel.
