Get ready for a procedural space simulator – Star Explorers is now out on GOG with a -40% launch discount until December 7th!

In the aftermath of Earth's destruction, humanity has to find a way to survive. Star Explorers offers you an expansive realm of freedom and autonomy; this freedom though, demands responsibility and consequences. As you chart your course, taking daring risks, try to secure a new habitat for the human race within the vast expanse of this open-world space exploration game.

Now on GOG!
At last, cheers.

Islands of the Caliph & Paradox Vector next, please.

GOG.com: Release: Star Explorers
Notice
Star Explorers is a game made by a single person over the course of many years - janky behavior may be experienced. You may reach out to the developer on Discord server with any questions, bug reports or insults.
Looks nice and interesting.
The price is tempting.
That notice, however...hmm.

Edit: Breja (post #8) brought this to my attention (last paragraph of the game's description, kinda easy to miss):

"The Future of Star Explorers
Star Explorers is still in development.
You can see update announcements here on the store page, and in the community hub.
A version 6.0 has not officially been announced yet.
However, minor updates and tweaks still happen fairly regularly."

Early access titles should be clearly marked as such. And not at the lowest end of the game's description, but on top of it.

Looks great, insta buy for me! Thanks GOG for bringing that here.
"Star Explorers is still in development."

Then why the hell is it not being sold as an Early Access title?

Great question!

Good question, Steam doesn't tag it as an early access title either.

Nice, looking forward to seeing Islands of the Caliph here too. :)

And the game is not 'unfinished' like an Early Access title, it's more like games like Terraria and No Man's Sky where additional content was continuously added to the game. It's presently on version 5.0, with a 6.0 planned.
Great hidden gem that I STILL have yet to beat. Yall give it a run. It brings back really cool retro vibes, and it's just really fun to play says me.

Maybe it's like Terraria's design philosophy. The game is just being constantly developed so that it will only be done when the developer stops work on it completely. Terraria has had its final update several times now. I'm not even sure if the last update was the actual final one.

[EDIT] Nope! Dead Cells crossover incoming - the 'sixth' final update. But that will be the absolute final one! Maybe...

Instabought. It seems like a great alternative to certain overpriced open worlds.
