zeffyr: I remember playing original Spellforce back in 2004, I enjoyed it quite a lot then, albeit struggling with difficulity and complexity.

Fallen God piqued my interested now, should I play Spellforce 1/2 before I can play Spellforce 3? Is S3 worth picking up before Fallen God?
You can play Spellforce 1&2 before if you want, it's not necessary but they are fun especially 1, Spellforce 3 launched rather okayish but has been fixed over time with features implemented with the first expansion which has made it significantly better.

Spellforce 3 Soul Harvest is a lot of fun and one of the most enjoyable imo, it has received some criticism from long term players of the originals for breaking lore which i agree with but if you are new to series or can oversee such things i do recommened it because it is better than original Spellfforce 3.

In short the Spellforce games i like the most as games and how fun they are:

1: Spellforce 1- i do have nostalgia for this game though,

2. Spellforce 3 Soul Harvest

3. Spellforce 2

4 Spellforce 3.

Try out Spellforce 1 and Soul Harvest while you are buying Fallen God and if you like them then try out the others.

Thanks so much for a detailed answer. I do own Spellforce Platinum here so I shall try it out now, Spellforce 3 with addons added to the wishlist and I'll probably pick them on sale soon! :-)
instabought! spellforce is one my favorite series on pc.
Awesome! I'm sure behind on games lately. I haven't even finished SpellForce 3 let alone played Soul Harvest. It's really great this amazing series is kept alive.

Reglisse: You cannot play a Female Troll...I'm sad T_T
Great game anyway ^^
In todays western world, there are no genders anyway. ;)
So, enjoy! (●'◡'●)

Alexim: Dear Grimlore Games / THQ Nordic, thanks for adding the achievements to SpellForce 3: Fallen God, but please do the right thing and add them also to SpellForce 3 and SpellForce 3: Soul Harvest so that your GOG fans can fully enjoy all the chapters in order.
^ This

I completely stopped buying games that have no achievements here and generally games that do not provide the same content as on steam. This does not mean I buy these games on steam. I just totally skip them and only buy other games from publishers who respect me as a GOG customer. Second class citizen ? no way ! No service = No sales .

Big step backwards... the game tells me I won't be able to unlock achievements without being logged into a THQ Nordic Online account. Really?!

Was interested in the game, until I saw this review (here on GOG, not sure if it's possible to link specific individual reviews):

" Has DRM Built In

November 8, 2020 Verified owner
No Single Player Skirmish Maps or AIs.
All offline play has certain high level buildings/units DISABLED.
To get all buildings/units you have to setup an account on and connect to ?Grimlore's? servers.

Tutorial is non-existant.
No formation control at all.
( Herding cats is probably easier. )
No way to tell units to stay or guard.
( Just get used to your units wandering off into oblivion as soon as you produce them. )
Some of the Campaign maps are still buggy and cannot be completed."

[emphasis mine]

Can anyone clarify if this is the case and, if so, what is being done to fix this issue?

None of it is true. There is an offline skirmish mode, and nothing is disabled if you don't connect to the servers.

Can i play the all six race on offline skirmish mode,if I have the original game and the Soul Harvest?

Fallen God lets you play all of the races in the original game + trolls, but not the races added in Soul Harvest. I believe they plan to merge all three games in the near future.

Thank you !! I like SpellForce and I would buy fallen God on GOG and wait for the merge game.

Do they specifically mean the Galaxy achievements or the possible achievements of the THQ Nordic account? In the first case it would be very strange that GOG allows it.

Thanks for your response, that sounds more encouraging for sure than the review.

Unfortunately I haven't had time yet to start playing Fallen God so I can't tell for sure how it is. I was hoping for a response from someone else on this topic. The message I got did not specify on which achievements were meant.
